Hi people im here basically for support in my weightloss hence the website name I guess I did come to the right place. Im 20 yrs old let me start off by saying my sophmore year of high school I weighed 280 mind you im 6'1 then I got into some bad stuff for about a year aka drugs after that bad part of my life was over I ended up weighing 185 I was so happy and confident something ive never been then 2 years later here i am again at a steady 259 and I hate going anywhere where people are thinking there going to say OMG hes so big and etc... I also have a fear of seeing people that I knew when I was thinner thinking omg hes let himself go and what not. I work in a warehouse full of guys who like to poke fun yeah I talk back to them but still go home with there comments echoing in my head. does anyone have any advice or words of confidence to help a lil? Im currently on a diet 30 mins of cardio 5 days a week thats not counting work which is another 6 hours of running around and lifting boxes.

You're Going to be Fine!

Hi there.
You've come to the right place.
I've been here 3 days, and there are some really good people here to support you when you need it.
I have found coming here each night helps me because I have to write my honest thoughts (something you can choose to do if you do an online journal).
I'm taking it one day at a time. that's all I can do.
Email me if you want some support. I'm here for ya!

Hello and welcome! Having a physical job is a real advantage. I'm on my feet most of the day, and I've got good muscles and burn a lot of extra calories during the day. If you can keep your calories at a good level, you're bound to succeed. Just don't expect it to happen too quickly, and one day you'll suddenly realise you've lost a whole bunch of weight :)

If you haven't already, I recommend cutting sugar. It's just empty calories you don't need, and you'll feel better in the long run - once your body gets over the shock!

I second that. Even though I'd quite like a relaxed job sitting at a desk all day I know that my job is good excercise all day every day, and it may be tiring but it's burning calories!

Good work on starting the excercise but you do need to keep a tight check on the diet as well, as if there's one thing I've learnt it is that they go hand in hand. One without the other is slow progress.

Good luck with the weight loss :) there is plenty of inspiration, support and advice to be had here on this forum.
