am i at a healthy weight?

hello,


i am a 29 year old male. 5'6 (short!), and now weigh 155 lbs (down from 250 lbs). but i still have a HUGE gut and 'love handles' - i don't get it. should i be like 140 lbs? i eat so well. i walk, walk, walk (3 hrs a day). i've been between 150-155 for like the past 4 months!


anyway. is anyone else in the same boat?

AHi, I have the same problem - love handles and a bit of fat on my stomach. I know walking is supposed to be the best for losing fat, but on the other hand, it could work different for anybody. I know my body and the best for me to lose weight is a combination of everything. I do walking and roller skating when the wether is good. I also exercise at home with my own body weight. I feel getting really fit doing short 20-mins workouts every day (squats, push ups, etc.) with just 30 seconds of break between each exercise.. I guess it would be more effective for you if you used those 3 hours for more activities than just walking. And if you walk, go somewhere where the terrain is not completely flat.

About your weight, it's very hard to tell if you need it. Depends on what your weight means in terms of muscles vs fat. You may weight more if you are more muscular:) All you need to consider is your health and our own perception about it. I personally don't believe in "generally ideal weight" :)

I am Sumon from Bangladesh. I am having same problem. I became fat on my stomach. Day to day fat increasing on my stomach. I am trying to normal exercise but it does not work. I do not think more just trying to get rid from this problem.
