Happy New Year Everyone! Hope your 2007 went out with a bang! I have just joined as it looks like a pretty informative site with cool mature members. About a year ago I kind of realised that I was wasting my life and was not achieving what I wanted, and was a stereotypical PC Nerd who just played MMO's. After this dire realisation, I pulled up my socks and got my life sorted out. I am now at University, and have improved my fitness greatly
(IMHO).
Over the past year I have dropped my weight from 210 pounds to 175 pounds. I have also started Fencing and Rock Climbing and am aiming to look at Scuba and Sky Diving in the summer. Up until very recently I had only had access to a treadmill, cycle and cross trainer. However, this has all changed and I now have access to a fantastic gym which has a pool and machines I could not have even imagined lol. Basically, my long term goals are to become as strong, fast, agile and defined as possible, for my aim is to join the Metropolitan Police upon the completion of my degree. Due to my slothful background I have little to no knowledge of how to improve in any of these areas, let alone compose a routine to do at the gym or a nutritional diet to follow. However, if any kind member chooses to respond hopefully the following statisitics will prove invaluable, as well as the information found throughout these forums.
Age:18
Weight: 175
Height: 6’1
Gender: Male
Body Fat: Unknown (Last measurement on a machine was 19)
In terms of mental determination, this is a goal that I rank as highly as my degree, and I currently attend the small gym (Treadmill, cycle etc) every day for about an hour and half. I have done this for almost 5 months now. As weird as it sounds, I have found that I actually welcome the general aches and pains I encounter when I am exercising as I find it helps me focus. Thereofre, it is safe to say that I am extremely determined and willing to go all out. Hopefully this herculean post has not scared you off. The only final thing I wish to state is to have a great new 2008!

Ps I will post pics later if you feel it would aid you in advice.
