Hi everyone.
Obviously I'm new to this site, and am on my weight loss 'journey' (although I hate the word 'journey' in that context, it sounds like nonsensical new-age drivel!). But I digress.
In 2004 I lost 45kgs in a 12 month period through sensible eating and a regular workout regime/active lifestyle. However, after moving back to my hometown (and closer to my mother's cooking!) I piled all the weight back on and then some! Now I've decided it's time to get back to a healthier me.
I am 28 years old and weigh a not-so-pretty 115kgs (253.6lbs). I have recently started back at the gym and on an all new diet courtesy of a personal trainer. Despite the drastic change in diet, I haven't found it all that hard to adapt, and nor have I found it that hard to get back into my gym routine. However I do have days where I feel down and just want to go back to old habits - but I just remember the number 115 in my head and that seems to work every time I head for the pantry!
I thought I'd join this forum to meet other people who are looking to lose weight/lose fat. If any of you need someone to vent to, or want advice or just a general chat, please feel free to contact me and I'm sure I'll be in contact with some of you during my "down" days.
Look forward to hearing, complaining, talking with/to you
