My father is due for a hip replacement and the doc will not operate on him because his BMI is poor. He can't exercise due to the fact that he has a hard time walking. He eats pretty healthy and proportions his meals well...BUT.... He drinks about a 1/5 of vodka in 2 days mixing it with light cranberry juice, and he pretty much drinks everynight probably more on the weekend. I was wondering if the alcohol is contributing to him not being able to loose any weight on a diet. and some facts to throw at him would be appreciated.
