Aiming for <180 club : : . .

*** Hi all, was look around in this section and only say "170 club," or "200+ club," but it seems they are for people at that CURRENT weight? So therefore I've decided to take it upon myself to create a new style of club which hopefully people in this goal weight range can find a common footing and be able to talk, and swap advice. If this was the intended purpose of those threads out there.. a Forum Mod may go ahead and delete this thread, if its fine let it continue! :D. Regardless onto the thread! ***

<180 lb Goal!

To reiterate what this thread is about; it is for people in this forum who are aiming in the long term to be less than 180 pounds. So regardless if you are 190+, or 200+ if your goal is to be <180 pounds then this is the club for you!

Now besides the usual chat on club threads I thought of perhaps having a glorified list of people who have joined the club and reached the goal of being <180 pounds so people can see who managed to reach their goal!

A little info for you to submit to be in the club!

Guidelines

Now of course there has to be 2 guidelines, so as follows;
  • Your weight loss goal should be <180 or 180.
  • To be fair would be prefered if your starting off weight was +10lb on 180, otherwise people that needing only to lose 2-7lb to break into 180 lb could do it and be straight on the list rather too quick. I'd rather see some as-it-happened journeying to the goal!

If I missed anything I'll add it to the guideline list.

yeh good idea i`ll join.

so i`ve lost 11lbs upto now, weighing in today at 213lbs. i`m determind to keep at it this time with a healthy menu planned for each night.

Hey DayBehavior! :p Glad to see you join, so too true points... same with me... I cannot wait to wear some nice outfits without constantly worrying. LOL @ the EX.
 
Ok so I'm totally dreading my weigh in on Monday. I only went to the gym once this week because I procrastinated hardcore with a research paper that's due monday. As of this writing I still have 8 more pages to go and I dont know if I have enough substance left to stretch it out. I'm stressed out as hell and I know that's going to contribute to the weight gain. This paper has been literally giving me nightmares that
s part of the reason I waited so long to do it and I can't wait to get it over with and get back to a normal life.

I did OK with my nutrition this week, not great, not bad but decent. I'm praying for a zero gain but will accept 1-2 lbs gain. I'm just going to grit my teeth and work my ass off next week and try to remind myself that one bad week isnt going to kill me.

yeh i think i`m just going to make 180 for my goal at the minute, i currently weigh 211lbs but have lost 13lbs so far and i`m going strong. i`m eating healthy everyday which i`m finding easy and i`m continuenly loseing doing so.

Dammm Daybehaviour, hope you do ok on that paper due in on monday.. also hope you don't gain anything hah! but if you do.. work out a good sweat in the gym! ;)

Thanks man, I'm at school right now waiting for 9 am to roll around so that I can turn this in and be done with it. I think I'm going to skip classes for the rest of the day and go home and take a nap. I think I deserve it :) and yay im happy i didnt gain any weight this week either.

Oh man I did today. Got my ass kicked. I cant believe how much my performance went down from skipping one week. I'm used to running 6.5mph one minute intervals with 2 mins walking in between for a hour. I barely made it today at 6.0. I did my usual 30 mins on the crosstrainer too so I didn't do too bad. I'm all sore now too. I think ill level back up as the week goes on.

DMR, are you really 240? You look a lot smaller based on your avatar :) Anyway we need to recruit more people in our little club here, heh. And yeah the research paper nightmare is over but now I gotta go prepare for my oral exam in German. Ich kann nur ein bisschen Deutsch sprechen. Das ist aber schade. :(
 
i treated myself monday and tuesday and havent half felt it putting on 3lbs, after eating well yesterday i thought i might of lost a bit today but the scales havent budged. i guees i can only learn from my mistakes.

i`m sure u`ll make it back up next week in the gym, least u kept eating well. i had a couple of dogdy days this week and its nearlly killed me so i need to get back on it.

sounds like u do really well at the gym. cross trainer was my favourite when i went but after that i couldnt run for 2 minutes.

good look with ur exam let us know how u get on.

I don't feel good today about my nutrition today too. I had a really kick ass session at the gym but I went to my friends house and his girlfriend manages a Pizza Hut so we got a ton of wings for like five dollars and I ate five freakin breadsticks and 8 wings :( Luckily that is all I ate for the day. I know that's not enough to make me gain more than a pound but I'm really scared I'm going to retain water from all the sodium. (not good when you're doing weekly weigh ins) Luckily I stayed away from pizza. I'm still traumatized because I gained three pounds (of water weight Im sure) from eating like three pieces of meat lovers pizza in one week about a month ago. The weight didn't go away for a good five days. Never again.

The important thing is that we are here rooting each other so we don't get derailed by our mistakes.

well done on your exam. yeh sounds like you treated yourself there, i think we have to be able to treat ourselfs once in a while or life would be ridiculouse.

i joined the gym today. did 30minutes on the cross trainer and 15 minutes of weights, i usually do 20minutes swimming aswell but its a bit cold for that with the snow.
also i`m down 2lbs from yesterday woohoo.
 
well i`m down 13lbs after today, only 1lb to go before i lose a stone. i`ve only ever lost half a stone before so this will be a big milestone for me.

also i`ve ordered a new cook book i`ve been dieing to get for ages, it tells u how many cals are in each meal and the other books in the series are really great and have helped me lose all my weight so far.
