aerobic exercise

hello everyone ,
well i have a question i have been reading lately that aerobic exercise is not good for weight loss .....iam surprised whats up with this i treadmill everyday for 37 minutes 4.1 miles per hour brisk walking ,does this mean im not doing nothing for myself all the hard work is worthless?????? i cannot weight train due to illness so now what could someoene please explain a bit on this subject...

I am not an expert but I would imagine that any form of activity is beneficial for weight loss. If you are moving you are burning more calories than sitting still so you will loose weight that way. Although a combination of cardio and strength training would be the best (someone more knowledgeable than me will come along with a better explanation than I can give) but as long as you are burning more calories than you are consuming you will loose weight.
