I'm trying to drop about 25lbs quick. I am a motivated guy that hasn't worked out in about 8 years because I've had a lot on my plate since leaving college. As a result, I've accrued a beer belly, though most of my body hasn't gained much weight.
I'm trying to cut the bullshit, and lose weight quick while toning, with the plan to switch to moderate cardio and focus on weight lifting after my gut is gone.
I'm currently 6'2" and 206lbs. I've been dropping between 1600 and 2000 Calories a work out, with two to 2.5 hours workouts on the elliptical.
I'm also noticing that my chest and lower stomach are tonight through this, and my pants are already sliding down even though its only been a little less then three weeks. I try to work out every day, or at least every other day.
At first, when I finished I could barely walk, but now after working out I feel more alive... and experience no side effects. Even the immediate hunger I used to feel has diminished.
Is there something wrong with this strategy?!?! If I drop the weight, and then start doing intense weight lifting... when it comes back will it be in the right places or will it still go to just my gut? It's always been annoying, but my body type builds around the stomach and doesn't really spread.
Advice appreciated.
Greg
