Advice on Weight Loss please anyone?

Hi I'm not sure if this is the right section for this but I was hoping someone could give me some advice on a way to lose weight in my current situation.

I've just finished uni and am looking for a job currently, so I'm quite skint and can't afford the gym. Over the last couple weeks I've been a bit down and haven't eaten barely anything (caused weight loss at first but now I think I'm putting more on). I've picked myself up and I'm looking for a way to lose weight, I've been doing a 2hr walk every day but hardly eating, I think thats where I'm going wrong. I have only 1 meal a day which I know is bad but I'm not sure what to eat. I'm about 15 stone (210 pounds), 5ft10 and male.

Any advice would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

2 hours walking. 8 hours sleeping? That leaves 14 unaccounted hours. Walking doesn't burn much calories to begin with, and will do very little o offset 14 hours of inactivity.

Go shoot some hoops or somethng fun

well ok, you certainly need to eat more! food is fuel for the body and if its deprived of food than it will hold on to whatever it does get. I'm not gonna preach what to eat, you know the routine...fruits, veggies, protien, fiber, ect. I think the most important issue here is that you just get eating some more.

and I have to disagree with the aboved saying that walking doesnt' burn much calories. Its pretty universal that walking is one of the best excersizes you can do. Its easy on the knees and great for the heart. The bigger one is, the more cals they will burn from excersize. However, once you get some more nutrition in your body, you can increase the amount of cals you burn from walking. What you'll want to do is walk at a regular rate for 2 minutes and then walk at a quick pace for 2 minutes, going back and forth throughout the whole period your walking....

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not sitting around for 14 hours I'm heavily seeking a job so I'm usually out and about, I don't drive I walk everywhere.
I'm not really the confident sporty type I'd probably get stabbed leaving my house after 5pm anyway lol.

I would like some advice on the eating situation though I'm not sure when/what to eat I'm so used to student life just living on cheap crappy foods I have no idea what I'm supposed to have.

Thanks for the advice on the walking as well, I was sure it was the best way but obviously it's not as good as the gym.

I figured dry brown bread toast for breakfast, fruit for lunch and then something like pasta for tea? is this a healthy meal plan? I'm really unsure about it all.

Awesome that u walk everywhere that's more specific... That potentially burns a lot of calories. U need more protein
