Advice on Fat burn session...

My gym instructor said to me that if I do a 40min run with HR @150-155bpm then the last 20mins would be fat burn. Is this correct? I do a 5 minute cool down on top of this then some abs work for about 20-30mins. Is this an effective use of my time in between weights days to be losing weight/fat? I've worked very hard on my diet lately and have started to notice promising results but want to maximise these with my time in the gym.

I've heard the same thing and there may or may not be some logic to it. However, if you're looking for the most effective use of your time on non-weight days - HIIT.

You may also want to have a go at fasted cardio although, its not for everyone.

Both of these are reputed as being an efficient use of cardio time.
