Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome

I've been as of late diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome:drooling1:, figured something like this would catch up with me.
Anyone have any knowledge on it, or how to treat it?
I have an appointment with what I believe is a endocrine specialist on Monday.

Many health care professionals will tell you that it doesn't exist. But in my opinion, you can't go from having perfectly functioning adrenal glands to adrenal failure (a "true" diagnosis) without a stage in between. Medicine is funny like that. You can do a search on adrenal fatigue, I don't know if I'm allowed to post links. There's a wealth of info on the internet, but don't rely too heavily on that. It's a controversial diagnosis, much like "fibromyalgia." My opinion is that when you stress yourself out, you screw up your cortisol levels. Once they normalize by keeping a consistent sleeping pattern and allowing yourself adequate rest, you should start feeling better. Sometimes I think doctors jump too quickly to "adrenal fatigue" when it's just good ole "sleep deprivation."

Good luck, let us know how your appointment went.

goose bumps or chicken skin, during endurance training?

this RN poster seems to know some stuff. Along the lines of fatigue, i got goose bumps twice yesterday... Out in the heat, 80 plus degrees, well beyond 100 min of endurance training.... for more about my regimens and routines see my journal "performance is not enough"

what are the goose bumps all about?

p.s. i also know about "adrenaline fatigue" more that 6-7 skydives in a single day and I typically throw up on the drive home.

I'm sorry for your adrenal diagnosis! I know a little of how you must be feeling - I have fibromyalgia - finally its been diagnosed! the fatigue is unbelievable...anyway - my concern is the now joint muscle pain I'm developing and hope it does cause problems with working out!! well...I hope your feeling better and have made some progress...anyone else have any of these problems??

I don't have Fibro, but I have similar issues. I can tell you that you'll wear out easily, and any overexertion will hit you a lot harder than it will "healthy" people. If I were you, I'd start off very slowly and work your way up at a very gradual pace. If you try to jump in 2 feet first, you'll land on your butt, trust me! Been there, done that... it's better to just start with baby steps, or you'll end up feeling discouraged because you can't work out as easily as you used to.

Yes I'm finding out that after workouts a day or two later I'm pretty wiped out but have to keep it going or I'll never get up!
