Hello everyone,

Since lots of people are sharing here, I will add my story too. I am just about 40 now. As a teenager, I was overweight. I am 6'1" tall. I decided in my senior year of high school to get my act together. I read every weightlifting book and nutrition book I could get my hands on. I created a plan and just before starting college I was 178lbs. and all muscle. Unfortunately, I was and am still a little lazy, so my weight crept up until I was 6 months away from my wedding. I was a mess at 268lbs. and 26 years old! Yikes! The irony of this was I had helped many friends and family members lose weight because I knew what to eat and how to train! I am not sure how many of you are out there with the knowledge and not the will. I decided not to be a mess at my wedding. I got my cycle out, got the weights out, and by the wedding date I was just a shade under 200lbs. My life has been very stressful these last few years and the body is not the same at 40 as it was at 26, that much I'll tell you. My weight has stabilized at 235 for the longest time. I just started to get it together and my first week has seen 6lbs. drop off and I haven't added any exercise yet. I am going down to fighting weight and will be there by summer. I like to share, so I'll contribute anywhere I can. Hope I didn't bore anyone with the lengthy post.

Actually, just the opposite! I'd love to know the plan and diet you've set up for yourself and other people.

Hope to hear from you.
