Hey everyone I'm David from houston i have been overweight the majority of my life. Not sure exactly what changed but I finally decided it was time for change. I hit 310 at my all time high, I'm 5' 10".
A month and 3 days ago my girlfriend and I started nutrisystem, so far I'm down 35lbs and she is down 26, we plan on doing it for 3 months then we should have portion control under control as well as being able to make the right choices.
Recently we've started taking ecy stack in the morning and eca in the afternoon as well as daily vitamins and fish oil. Thinking about adding sesamine in the future. We haven't set up a workout routine yet but I can only imagine the results then! Right now we just walk around our apartment and I just bought a work out game for xbox kinect.
I was hoping maybe someone has a good workout routine for someone my size I weiigh 275 and have extremely flat feet and afraid at this weight I might destroy my ankles while running.

Welcome to the forum, I would suggest you start a diary in the diary section to start logging your food and exercise. one of the best exercises to start with is walking, start out slow before building up to more intense exercise.

Making use of an ECA stack is not a good idea and without enough intense training won't help much anyway, try to keep things as natural as possible without popping pills.

I totally agree with trus about the pills and everything else.

If you are eating a varied diet of goods foods, you won't need vitamin pills or that other stuff. As far as i am concerned its a waste of money, just a scam.

But its your money to spend how you like so feel free.

But about your feet, get some advice from a sports doctor before you take up anything too strenous. I can't really picture your weight but in general, if you are very overweight, ease into your exercise, even walking because you don't want ot damage your knees. Knees don't really like carrying a lot of weight around. You want them for the long haul so don't start running until you are down down down.

Get good shoes for anything.

I suggest trying a yoga class. Iyengar could be good for you. Read this link and decide for yourself. Iyengar Yoga - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Or if you prefer the gym, (I know nothing about the gym) try to work with someone who knows what you should be doing.

Alternatively, take up swimming freestyle. It's hard to injure yourself whilst swimming. Breastroke is a bit of a waste of time unless you really work it.

Hi David, I live out in Katy. By all means stay away from the pills and go the natural route. Make sure that you add weight lifting to your workout plans because it will help you lose weight quicker. It's a good this that you and your wife are doing this together! You have someone to push and to push you when needed.

Plus this forum is excellent for finding different exercise tips. I was in the same boat that you are in and it took me 90 months to go from 280 to 195. You have one thing that I didn't have...a workout partner.

David set your goals and go for it!
