As long as you don't forget about core workouts all together, I don't see why you'd lose your abbs by doing chest workouts.okay i have pretty good abs for my age but i have a very little chest, im worried that if i start to work out my chest i would lose my stomach is this a strong possibility? and if it is can some one help because i dont want to loose my abs at all.

Keep in mind, you're still young, and weight training is known to reduce/slow down/prevent growth until you're 16-18 years old (after what age growth slows down or stops naturally). Not sure how tall/developed you are, but don't start heavy weight lifting if you intend to grow more. For now I'd focus on forming healthy living habits (eating, exercising, sleeping...), and in a couple years you can start more serious weight training, and you'll see results much quicker.
Just do some sport, sport! Be a normal 15 year old![]()
Think about what you just asked.
If working out with weights stunted your growth, don't you think basketball players would all be a lot shorter? Volleyball players? Football players? Swimmers? Rugby players ... Aussie Rules players ...
Weightlifting does not stunt growth (taking certain drugs or steroids may stunt your growth). You just have to make sure you have correct form/technique so you don't injure yourself.
Good Information but i think he's talking about can he stunt his growth while working out at 15...You said Football Players and so on do weight training but you don't see many professional 15 year old Football players that weight train...
Any further info on this?
