Hi to everyone
I'm a 23 year old female, I'm 5'8, weigh 280lbs, and I'm ready to get healthy.
I'd like to use this forum as a support system, to recieve advice and get help from others, so I hope I get that here.
I have struggled with my weight as it is now for about 4.5 years now.
I used to weight 180lb before my son, but afterwards I just let myself go and this is where I am at now. I recently had bloodwork done and the doctor told me some things I was afraid to hear. I probably have POCS, which is making it harder for me to lose weight and I have used that as an excuse not to try harder. My doctor didn't confirm POCS but he did say some of the stuff in my blood work and the lack of my menstrual cycle all point to that. He put me on Metformin for POCS and the fact that my insulin is high, I am not diabetic but he says if I dont lose weight that I am heading down that road soon and that really scared me. So here I am...
I have a doctors app in a month, and I am hoping to have lost about 10-15lbs by then, I think that's reasonable. I havent been to the gym because my son got sick but today he is better, so I will give him to my mother to watch for 2 hours and I'm gonna go hit the gym and sweat some of this stress off.
I really also need to cut out my breads..I am a carb lover or addict I should say. Does anyone have any tips for me how to get over this craving of carbs?
I really do feel like Im gonna lose my head when i start craving my carbs and my sweets....this is just so insane.
