Ok, I've been bouncing up and down by 10 pounds for a while now, and its time to get rid of it for good. I'm going to use this as my diary, of sorts. Hope thats ok. I tried to get a ticker, but I'm not sure how to display it. Can anyone help with that?

Currently, I am at 145 pounds, and I'm 5 foot 6. My goal is 125. I'm not sure by when. I'd like to weigh 130 by New Year's. That's doable right? Ok, also, I've been feeling really sick to my stomach. Just to kick start this weight loss, and too hopefully stop feeling so sick, I'm going to just do raw foods tomorrow, with lots of tea, as always. I'm very excited. Let me know what you think.

For the ticker, try , then add the code at the end to your signature (under User CP at the top left).

IMHO, 15 pounds in 6 weeks when you're already normal weight (going by the BMI charts) isn't a realistic goal. Better to set your goals small (I'd suggest a half a pound a week) and exceed them than to set them too high and struggle, ya know? :)

Well, I was 139 pounds this morning, so really that's only 9 pounds if I weigh myself at the same time, and morning is good for me. Today I'm going to try a raw foods diet and see how I feel. But I'm going to the gym right now. I'll fill you all in later!

Hmmm, I would give today a 7 out of 10. I did well as far as my diet is concerned, but I still felt sick. So something is still not right. I'm going to keep trying a few small changes to see if anything helps. I walked/ran for 300 calories on the treadmill, plus took my usual Wed. night gymnastics class, so I feel pretty good about exercise today too. I'm interested to see if I lost any weight. I'll weigh myself in the morning (my scale goes to half pounds). As far as tomorrow goes, I have a big exam on Friday, so I probably will spend most of my free time studying, but I am doing another make-up gymnastics class. Anyone know what the best thing is to eat before a test? I'm going to try to go raw again tomorrow with maybe just a little chicken on my salad or soup before I go to the gym so I don't feel too tired.

Thats all for now. Feedback is appreciated.

A little caffeine actually does sharpen your mind. Some good complex carbs to fuel your brain without giving you a sugar low partway through. Some protein and fat wouldn't hurt. Peanut butter on whole wheat toast with a cup of tea?

Thanks for that tip, I'll try it. I was 137 this morning so I'm on my way. I think I've identified my getting sick with the soup they serve in the cafeteria, but I'm going to do another raw day--it makes me feel good! I have planned to go to the gym twice today. I like to split it up into smaller increments, so I keep active throughout the day. That's ok to do right? Anyone have any comments on anything? I would love feedback.

IMHO, there's nothing wrong with breaking your exercise up into chunks throughout the day. (IIRC, there's some cardiovascular benefit to having your chunks be at least 30 minutes long, but I don't believe there's a significant weight-loss benefit.) For some people (me), doubling the number of trips to the gym doubles the opportunity to skip a workout, but that's a personal issue. :)

Since you're soliciting comments, I'll add in - if you hit a week or so when you don't see much (or any) movement on the scale, hang in there. You've had a big, fast initial loss, not all of which is fat, and your body might level off for a while.
