abdominal help

hey guys before i get to my question a little information about myself would be helpful. i am 16 years old and about 5 foot 7 inches tall. i box and train around 5 times a week. on those days when im not boxing, i run (3 miles) and then weight train. i have pretty good eating habits, not snacking much but eating an adequate amount of food to supply me with the energy i need.

my problem is that i have a fairly short torso, with long legs and long arms. with that known, it is hard (seems like more impossible) for me to get defined in my abdomen region. i do work out my core regularly. also, i do have a pretty slow metabolism, which requires me to work out harder and more regularly to keep in good shape.

i do not understand why i can not get my lower abs defined. you can see the outline of my upper abs, but other wise its just skin, not even fat as it seems. i need help on what to do with my core. its strong no doubt but its been my goal for a while to have abs that match the definition of the rest of my body.
