A weight struggle

Hey everyone,
I'm Jana....I used to be a skinnny girl but since I started college I gained 20kgs. Which I WILL loose, I started allready. I weigh 75kgs right now (i'm 5'5) and I WILL be 55kg by next year. I just want some support...

I am a dancer, but I havent been that active over the last few years...this has greatly contributed to the weight gain. I want to be happy again, I want to look sexy again.

I hope I find support and information which I need for my journey. I have not weighed myself yet !! Tommorow is my WEIGH IN day (super excited and nervous :(....it IS very scary damn!).... I'm about to cook myself some dinner...I'm thinking some grilled chicken with beans. Sounds yummy doesnt it.
Just to keep a track of my weight loss I took these pictures today...Yes I'm in bad shape!! but THIS IS GOING TO CHANGE!
 
thats great jana, just dont beat yourself up at any point! you'll get there, and every day you do it have a big smile on yourself that your doing the right thing! good luck, ben
 
Thanks Ben! I hope soo... its something I really need to do for myself. I feel like I'm in someone elses body! I was a thin girl once, how did I let myself get so fat? I ask myself that question all the time! :( Its damn depreessing, but I'm trying to fight the fat with a smile! Yes..it helps.
 
of course it helps :) :) :) but its great you know you are in control of your goals, you may have the best diet and exercise regime in the world but ultimately your determination and motivation gets you there :)
 
theres loads of information on the stickies dan, when you have a more specific question we can help you a bit more. have a browse around!!

also if your starting a routine make sure you find the key motivations that are going to get you to your end goal, that might ultimately be the difference between you reaching your goals or slipping short! ben
 
Hey guys, Dan here from the UK.

Ive finally got to do something about my weight! its getting me down. what are you guys doing, any diet programs working for ya? any advice you have for starting a routine??

Dan - you have to believe that no problem is insurmountable. As Ben said - read those sticky threads - particularly in the exercise and nutrition sections. Then maybe set up your own thread here in the newcomers section where you say a little about yourself and what you plan to do. No matter what size you are - we all benefit from bringing movement back into our lives. I started with walking round the block - but at 5ft3 and 21 stone - I was pretty big.... You can do it.
 
there are always bigger mountains people have climbed dan, really get to grips with your plan and just go for it!!

Dentheman- Goodluck, the journey you are embarking upon can be a 'fun' one! =) Dont let them trigger foods (ones that are likely to spoil your diet) bring you down!

As for me the counting calorie thing is helping me track my food, I am really active too ...I know a lot of people dont have as much time as I do to workout in there hands...but just making small differences like taking the stairs instead of the elevator counts!! HELL it counts.

Sometimes I feel upset, when I look at my old size six clothes, my TINY TINY jeans...which I didnt think was so tiny a while back. I ate whatever back then. As much as I'd like to go back into time! I know I cant.... but I wont let this bring me down. I WILL fit into those damned jeans!! I WILL I WILL!!
