A very eager newbie...

I'm Kerry, a 20 year old Film, TV and Journalism student in Lincoln. I was always on the slim side of curvaceous until I was 16 (although I didn't know this at the time, I thought I was huge, didn't help that family kept telling me I was fat, but looking back at pictures, I had a beautiful figure), then I gained some weight when I started college. I was overweight for my height, but I still had a lot of confidence and was happy with my body.

Then I started university in september 2007, and that's when the massive weight gain started. Months of takeaways and boozing suddenly caught up with me last June, and I haven't been able to fix it. I weigh 224lbs today, and I am cripplingly self conscious. I rarely go on nights out, and my lack of confidence is affecting my relationship with my boyfriend of nearly 3 years.

I am desperate to slim down to around 140lbs. In the next 2 weeks I will hopefully be starting the Cambridge diet (if anyone on here is on this diet, please get in touch, i'm really interested to hear stories!). Anyway, that's me!

Hey, uni's a really bad time for gaining weight, i'm my first year I gained quite a bit, luckily I got a job that helped me lost that.

You can definately do it :D and it's easier the younger you are, probably because of a faster metabolism :D

welcome there =D ... hmm I understand your pain, used to be normal until highschool then started gaining weight due to family issues and bullying but university was tough! eating take away, ready meals, snacking during revisions.. I think all of my friends gained weight! .. all of us.
not sure about the cambridge diet, I just stick to less food, more gym, but good luck with your diet and keep us posted :)
