A Piece of My Mind... Venting and other Stuff

Krista's does the same thing. She can't stand it. I forget the name of the 'condition' they said she has.

What was really cool about it - is I never noticed how much my heart rate went up before -I've had the lightheadedness occassionally but never had a number to put to it...

Now in Krista's case - all she has to do is look at you and have an impure thought or three and that gets her heart racing.. i think they call it Hunkitis... I have that occasionally too... but alas borders was hunk free :)

Hunkitis. I do believe that was the terminology the doc used now that I think about it.

YDNEY (AFP) – An Australian state is offering internationally what it calls "the best job in the world" -- earning a top salary for lazing around a beautiful tropical island for six months.

The job pays 150,000 Australian dollars (105,000 US dollars) and includes free airfares from the winner's home country to Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland's state government announced on Tuesday.

In return, the "island caretaker" will be expected to stroll the white sands, snorkel the reef, take care of "a few minor tasks" -- and report to a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates.

The successful applicant, who will stay rent-free in a three-bedroom beach home complete with plunge pool and golf buggy, must be a good swimmer, excellent communicator and be able to speak and write English.

"They'll also have to talk to media from time to time about what they're doing so they can't be too shy and they'll have to love the sea, the sun, the outdoors," said acting state Premier Paul Lucas.

"The fact that they will be paid to explore the islands of the Great Barrier Reef, swim, snorkel and generally live the Queensland lifestyle makes this undoubtedly the best job in the world."

Lucas said the campaign was part of a drive to protect the state's 18 billion Australian dollar a year tourism

Oh no biggy! I thought you were looking into it yesterday and when I saw it wasn't done, I was concerned it wasn't as easy as originally thought.

Oh like you don't want the job too... you'd be a great spokesmodel... :D just get your tanned behind out of the beach.. and flex... :) australia is a beautiful country...

I was just talking with my training partner last night about ditching everything, liquidating, and heading someplace warm with a favorable exchange rate and setting up a beach side business.

Dreams.

They're fun.

Dictionary.com's word of the day...

1. to throw goods overboard to lighten a ship or aircraft in distress
2. the act of throwing goods overboard when a craft is in distress; also, the goods thrown overboard
3. (figurative) to throw away; discard

Pretty much sums up the last week or so at the office...

that would be people... and I'm not the one doing the jettisoning..

I've referred to it as the Cull of '09 - only it started in '08...

I walked in this morning, and one of the finance guys, is like - oh you're still here...
