hiya every one :)

my name is shane and im a 22 year old boy from south wales..

Well aa little story about me -

was a happy slim bubbly outgoing boy, enjoyed life and was confident before...
BUT

just over 6 years ago my life started taking the turn for the worse, i passed my driving test and just came to dependant on the car, sold my mountain bike as it had no use,
over the 6 years the weight started pounding on and now im so depressed and low in life...
lost my job and started sitting indoors lazing around and picking at junk food, not bothering what i done before long walks,biking,joggin and all activities

so 6 years on and now im near 18 stone at 5.11 tall and so depressed, well the other day i had a guts full i was feeling low and depressed..

Well on the 1st-1-2011 i started to exercise again, want to be my old self again despratley...
When out an bought a new v-fit exercise bike. also ordered my weights bench aswell...

passed my sia course for the security bussiness and want to get back in work to help my confidence...
so far i done this

Day 1 - ate 900 calories (all healthy) done 36 mins on my exercise bike, 12.5 miles, burnt 300 calories

Day 2 - ate 845 calories, done 60 mins on my bike again, 22.2 miles, burnt 600 calories

Day 3 - ate 740 calories - done 17 mins on my bike (was busy tha day) done 6.2 miles, burnt 150 calories

Today so far - ate 360 calories, done 60 mins on exercise bike, 12.2 miles, burnt 554 calories

but am having some supper later and also another 30 mins on my bike

am i doing it right or wrong, any tips hints

welcome to the site... there's plenty of good info and motivating stories to be found on this site, so explore, stick around and you may find it a massive help in your quest to lose the pounds.

You asked if you're doing it right or wrong, well tbh- I think you're eating too few calories, you should really be aiming for a minimum of 1200- but at your height and weight, 1800-2000 would still create a defecit for you to see weight loss week in week out, especially with the exercise you're putting in. The danger in not eating enough is burning yourself out quickly, you're not going to enjoy so few calories at all and it will be super hard to maintain the will to carry on.
