-- How much weight do you want to lose?
I haven't exactly figured out my goal weight. My best friend who is my height is very skinny at 130 lbs, and I realize I'll be different from her, but I think 130 is a little too far down. Right Now I'm aiming for healthy, which is between 140-165.

-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
I'm giving myself an approximate time frame of 1-1.5 years to accomplish this. Maybe I can do it faster, but I'm just trying to get going at the moment.

-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?

I'm going to change my diet, and stop drinking soda. I'd also like to stop sitting on my ass after work. I'm going to make time for exercise in my life instead of excuses.

-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
Well, I'm hoping to find an online weight loss buddy, because it's really hard to lean on the people around me for weight loss support, because they don't really believe I'm capable of doing this.

-- How realistic is your goal?
I'm aiming for healthy and happy. I think losing 95-115 in a year (to a year and a half) is very realistic.

-- When will you start?

I keep trying to start, and then faultering. But today, seems like it's going to be a good day.

1. What is your current height and weight?
5'9 255lbs.

2. If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
I think 160 would be great!

3. At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
I would like to be 200-210

4. Why do you want to lose weight?
I'm so unhappy with my current weight, I should have done this a long time ago. I'm ready to be kicking a** and taking names.

5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
Not really, my brothers wedding is in September, but I don't even want to go!

6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
Emotional eating. Not believing in myself. Not being proud of what I do accomplish!

7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
I had an emotional childhood, and ate my way through it!

8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Stop smoking, drinking soda, eating like a pig, figure out correct portion sizes. Exercising more. I think once I get to a certain point, i'll love it.

9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
Yes, in the past year I've lost 30 lbs! I've managed to keep it off, and It's kind of that spark that started it for me!

10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
I didn't stay with it!

11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
Cutting out certain foods completely. I thought they were just totally banned, and you couldn't have them ever. Then I'd binge on things I couldn't have anymore. Now I know it's about making the healthier choices and portion control!

12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
I'm starting a food/cal journal tomorrow!

13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
Yes, and since I cook for a living, i tend to cook whatever cooks fastest in the microwave.

14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
Once or twice a month. It depends, sometimes I splurge on taco bell, other times I go to what seems like a healthier choice.

15. What are your three favorite foods?
Spaghetti, Cheesey Broccoli, and ham. Weirdo, I know!

16. What are your three favorite restaurants?
Taco Bell, Waffle House, and a local Diner.

17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
Make better choices.
Control my portions.
Try to have a balanced diet with variety!

18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I'd probably put on some skinny jeans and a tank and go around dancing. But I think, I'd feel so much healthier, and be able to kick butt at work!

19. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
Yes, this is a problem!

20. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Yes.

21. Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
Nope.

22. Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
Yes.

23. Do you eat as a reward?
Not really.

24. Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
Yes.

25. What do you normally eat for a meal?
Food. Bad food of course, a lot of frozen quick fix high cal stuff.

26. What type of snacks do you eat?
I'm a big fan of cookies.

27. In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
I dance around my bedroom pretending to be a rockstar!

28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?
Nowhere atm.

29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
Dancing, although my current shape it's a little scary looking.
Elyptical machine. I had knee surgery 2 years ago, and that's so much easier on them then the treadmill.
30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
I'm lacking it right now! Care to help me out?

31. Do you have rewards for certain goals?
A new wardrobe when I hit 160.
 
Progress Update

A good week! I lost another pound, my first week I lost 4. I think a bit of that was probably a bit of water weight. I've almost ruled soda out of my diet though.
