(My last thread.)

Well 2 years later, I'm back to how I was, around 1.5 stone overweight (being kind, more like 2) and I hate it! Losing my job and being unemployed for 6 months didn't help, but im now raring to go again!

I would say my motabolism is quite high and usually after 8-10 weeks of eating right and exercising, i generally lose enough to look how i want.

I work in a hospital and probably walk around 1-2 miles a day, so I get quite a bit of cardio already.

Ive joined a gym (£16.99 p/m bargain!) and started to cut out the sugary fatty foods and beer, but I would appreciate some help regarding some good recipes and foods that will really help me achieve my goal.

I would also appreciate your advice on gym exercises and routines.
I went earlier today, and i took note of what I did..

With the weight machines I generally start at a low weight and gradually increase it, and when i reach my highest capability, I'll repeat it 2-3 times. 10 reps per weight.

175lbs - 79kg on the leg press
100lbs - 45kg and 139lbs - 59kg on the hip abduction machines
85lbs - 39kg on the seated leg curl
130lbs - 59kg on the leg extention
85lbs - 39kg on the chest press
50lbs - 18kg on the shoulder press
100lbs - 45kg on the lat pull

Then using the free weight dumbells 7kg and 8kg I did standing arm curls and exercise ball hand curls, for around 10-15 mins.

I finished off with 15 minutes on the cross trainer.

So in a nutshell, If anyone could advise me how to improve on my routine and tell me some healthy meals I would be extremely helpful!

Andy.
