Hi! My name is Eva. I am 15 years old and I'm truly ready to lose weight.
Basically I have been overweight since I was around 8 or 9 years old. It wasn't an overnight thing. I slowly gained throughout the years and I'm now extremely ashamed to admit that I am 200 pounds at 5'5.
My weight has stopped me from dating, forming lasting friendships, and being as outgoing as I'd like to be. I cannot dress the way I want, nor can I play the sports I'd like to play (I'd love to be on the track and volleyball team) out of embarassment and fear of ridicule.
I've been excessively teased, taunted, ridiculed, and put down just for being overweight for years. My self esteem and body image are horrible at the moment. My only confidence comes from my face & hair which I think are fairly attractive. I cannot however, ever be the person I truly am on the inside if I continue to let my weight control my life!
So with summer approaching I've decided I will use my 3 month break from school to completey makeover my body. My general goals would be to lose weight, tone muscle, become stronger and healthier, and feel better about myself and the way I look overall.
I'm hopeful that in combination with my own personal motivations that this site will help me stay on track.
