A step being a pound, that is!
Hi all! I just registered and wanted to introduce myself to you all. I'm a 24/f, living in Oregon. I love to hike up saddle mountain or the cherry orchard trail, or any of the hikes they have in this area. Camping is awesome, but I haven't been able to go in awhile. I also like skiing and snow-tubing, and swimming at the lake when it's warm enough. As well as horseback riding and playing piano and watching movies. Most of the stuff I like to do is active, but being out of shape makes most of those things less enjoyable. I'm excited that, along with losing weight and looking better and feeling better about myself, I'll be able to enjoy my favorite activities more after I lose weight.
I don't have a lot of weight to lose, but I have enought to lose that I know it's going to be hard, and it's going to take awhile, and I could use the support that I hope this forum can give. I'm 5'7" and weigh about 155lbs. My goal weight is 120lbs. I don't even remember the last time I weighed 120, I've been up and down between 140 and 160 for the past few years. Maybe once I get closer to 120 I'll change my mind, but basically I want to be as thin as possible while still being healthy.
So I'm starting my diet/exercise plan tomorrow (I'm making a diary also). My plan is to do my stairstepper/aerobics video with a low-height step two days a week, ride a bike for two days of the week, and play tennis for two days of the week. I'll also eat 1500 calories a day, with as much protein as possible.
So I hope I hope I hope that in about 6 months, I'll be down to my goal weight and will be a happier person for it. Wish me luck!
