A few questions.

Hey guys hows it goin? Im new to this forum and Ive been lifting for about 6 months now, when I first started workin out I would be sore the day after but now Im not hardly sore anymore. Is this normal when I lift I usually go for an hour or 2. Also Ive pretty much weighed between 140 and 150 and I havent gained any weight but I am getting much bigger arms and chest. one last thing what can I do to target the inside and outside part of the bicep to build them evenly, my insides make up consideerally more of my bicep than my outsides. Thanks for any help guys.

First off, welcome to the forums!

Secondly, I think you'll get better feedback from the heavy lifters in this forum, but I think that if you're not feeling any soreness after workouts you might want to increase your weight amounts. Or change up your routine a bit. Every time you increase the weight you're lifting you're supposed to go by 5%...right?

its very normal. i only get sore when i start doing a new exersice or change something drasticly..

Like karky said - After your body adapts to weight training and your consistent soreness will go away, a surefire way to get some DOMS (soreness) is use different excercises, set/rep schemes, rest intervals etc

Change your work out. your body will be sore just from working out in those first few weeks in the gym. however, once that goes away and you don't feel anything then your body has gotten used to your current work out. change up the excercise you do and your routine. If you've be lifting 4 sets 12 reps change it to 8 reps 8 sets (just an example) so that even though you may not be doing as many sets at your end weight, your lifting much heavier than you have been in the past. the soarness will not be the same as in the initial couple weeks but it will be a good feeling letting you know you worked out hard and your muscles are rebuilding. you should change your workout every several weeks.

Also,

about your bicepts. even though ppl look at that as your largest muscle in your arms. Your Tri makes up for about 75% if i'm not mistaken. Make sure not to pass up or take lightly your tricept workout and you'll see a huge improvement in your arms.

I dont think its my workout because Im doing a different workout almost everytime I lift. But as far as my bis and tris go I make sure to work them out evenly everytime, and my triceps might even get more of a workout that my bis. Thanks for the help guys.

Same thing happened to me, I just changed up my workout as much as I could. Variety is key. I went from 120 to 150 in a year and a half:) . Now I'm focusing on strength training for the first time, always change it up. And I'm usually sore the next 2 days after my workouts still.
