A diet went wrong...?

Its been about a month now since I began my weight loss "plan". After a while when my cardio and strength training had no affected my weight, I started to follow a diet.

I thought eating less, would help me to lose more weight quickly, so I planned to eat 900-1200 calories per day. It "worked", I lost 3 kilograms in one week, I had dropped from 88 to 85.6 kg.

85.6 was my weight yesterday, but today I weight 88 kg...AGAIN!

Why?! I followed a diet plan and lost some fat, yet I gained it all back just in one day?!
I recently had sleeping issues, but it would not possibly warrant for this!

Can someone please explain, why I gained everything back in one single day?

What exactly are you eating. Cutting calories doesn't mean much if you're not eating healthily. Also, the problem with low-calorie diets is that your body is trying to stabilize itself and will put the weight back on very easily as soon as there is any kind of relapse in your diet.

The most successful diets, I find, are sticking to the same amount of calories, but reducing your carbs and increasing your protein intake.
 
Weighing yourself daily can be a bad thing. Water weight can make those pounds fluctuate either way from day to day.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that you try to lose weight but you gain more weight. I think you should choose another diet that is suitable to you
