I'm doing great on sticking to a lower portion food intake and the exercise and drinking 64oz of water a day, but I thought when u drink alot of water u pee alot more, I'm barely peeing, no more than I did with diet pepsi. So my 1st question is am I retaining all that water and if so should I b taking a water pill? As for my 2nd question, I don't drink milk hardly ever and if i do all I like is whole milk, so will it help my weight loss any if I drink it more if so how much do I need? 3rd question...Am I drinking enough water? My weight is 176, height is 5'2". I have tried plenty of diets which all failed miserably but I never had anyone to help keep me motivated like this site. Usually by day 4 I've pretty much given up but here it is day 6 and I'm still really excited! Thanks to all!

questions back to you
1. Why have you given up on diets in the past? Are they too restrictive? what are you going to do this time to make them not so restrictive?"

If you like milk drink it -but theres no magical property to make you lose weight - if y ou're drinking milk - factor it into your daily calories...

Water pills are a bad idea - if you think you're retaining water- take a look at the sodium in what you're eating... and drink more water... 64 ounces aday I don't think is a lot...

All the diets I have tried before were usually the new "in" diets, and I just couldn't keep myself motivated. I tried a very foolish "baby food diet" when i was 16 which I quit after I realized how stupid it was lol, then I have tried a "3 day diet" several times but kept getting very sick after a couple of weeks. My goal this time is to just eat less portions and watch my sodium intake and calorie intake. I'm mainly just trying to eat less whereas before I would keep eating just for the good taste of the food or using it as a comfort when i was upset. I've got the will power this time to lose the weight, I'm at my heaviest ever(never have been skinny) and I really wanna lose the extra weight not only for myself but also for my kids. Biggest motivation was a couple of weeks ago my daughter who is skinny as a rail was telling her brother she wanted to be just like mommy so she was gonna eat alot so she would be "pleasantly plump"(my way of avoiding the f word) like mommy. I can't avoid losing the weight anymore, time to quit making excuses and do it. Thanks for the advice, and sorry for being long winded lol, I tend to talk a lot lol.
