Things haven't been great lately... My boyfriend dumped me over a week ago and it's been sort of hard on me... Needless to say, my weight has gone up. A lot. I'm 5 pounds heavier than I was about a month ago. I feel completely miserable today... I hate feeling this way. I want to change so desperately, but I always cave in...

So, hopefully, this summer will be better. I know I should eat healthy but I don't. I know I should exercise, but sometimes I'm too lazy to do it.

Well, maybe this will finally be the time I change. =)
 
I'm sorry to hear about things ending with you and your bf. Maybe you can take this time to better yourself and focus on your goals. After a breakup, i normally go straight to the food, but my last breakup (which was pretty recent as well) made me want to get in shape for myself. Working out is a great way to relieve built up stress/anger/whatever emotions you may be feeling. Things can only look up...:)
 
I'm 16, (almost 17) and 5'5" with a rather large bone structure. I started at 224, but now i'm 209. I find it hard to lose the weight, kinda like an everlasting battle that I keep losing ground in...especially because I "started" in September 2005, and i've lost a total of 13lbs...So you see, I have some problems with the "sticking to my guns" lol. :)
 
I'm 16, just turned it a couple weeks ago. I'm looking to lose about 50 pounds. My first weigh in is next Wednesday, so I'll tell you exacts then.
 
I've lost another 2 pounds! Yay! I'm so excited! I think I'm going to be able to reach a total of 15 before we go to Florida after all :D:D:D
 
hi I'm new here.
I'm 16 years old and I'm Chinese, so where I come from my bone structure is large, but in the West I'd probably be considered medium.
I'm 66.5kgs and 165cm tall. (146.3pounds, 5ft4in) BMI 24.4
I aim to lose 10kilos (22 pounds) by August.

Truth be told, I'm a recovering anorexic. More ED-NOS (eating disorder not specified) because I'm not underweight. I want to be healthy again. I don't want to starve myself anymore. I want to lose weight healthily.

I really hope I can get the support because I coming off anorexia with a seriously screwed up metabolism, skin and no period. Argh. Now I'm eating more I'm gaining weight and its pretty hard watching the scale climb temporarily. So now here I am, I MUST LOSE WEIGHT!
 
Old Story

For me, it's the old cliche with the pounds coming on so easy but not so easy going off. I've always had slow metabolism, and work from home so I'm always sat on my ass. I've lost weight before, when I was a teenager, but as you get older, with more commitments, it's not so easy to change your lifestyle.

Maybe the key is to win the lottery so we could have all day to exercise.

Hi, I'm new here!

I'm 15, 5'5 and started diet today although it is going crap. I currently weigh 119lbs (weighed myself about an hour ago), it may not seem like much but recently I've had people calling me fat and my dad even said I'm filling out so decided to shed a few pounds. My goal weight is about 110s. It takes me ages to lose weight so it will probably take me quite a few months! Hopefully have lost that weight by end of July/beginning of August!

turielenethnin, we are here to support you, its good that youve made a change in your lifestyle, and loosing weight the healthy way is the safe and sure way to go.

Hi can i join!?!?! I'm Keeley aged 19 and i have 47lb to lose :eek: . I am currently 173 and my ideal is 126. I weighed myself Sunday morning and i was 175 then yesterday i was 173? huh? not sure how that happened! I'm not complaining anyway :D

I've recently had a daughter (she is now 7 weeks old) and most of this blubber is due to thinking i could get away with eating anything i wanted while i was pregnant. My plan to lose it all is just simply eating healthier food choices and exercising for at least 30 minutes 5 times a week.

My first "mini-goal" is to reach 161lb in the next 6 weeks, so i have 12lb to go, giving me 2lb a week to drop. Shouldn't be too bad :cool:

Anyway thanks for reading, this looks like a really friendly forum and i look forward to chatting with you all :)
 
Hello!

I am 17, 5'10, 210 pounds, large frame, and just chunky all over. My goal weight is somewhere between 120 and 130. I hope to reach my goal sometime between January and April of 2007. (Depending on how rapid my weight loss is) I'm planning on starting the Atkins diet on July 5th. Along with an 1 to 2 hour workout 5-6 days a week at the YMCA. I just hope I can stay on my diet this time!

As of Friday, july 7th this club will be unstickied. There are too many clubs to be stickied and we, as moderators, feel that all clubs should be brought to the top of the page in the traditional manner - posting by its "members". Ok nice to meet you all.

I'm a 16 year old Aussie, new to the forum. I'm currently 93 Kg (I'm sorry I don't know what that is in pounds, around 200 or something) and my goal weight is 75-80. If I can reach that level, I'll be happy. I'm 179 cm tall, so my BMI obviously is not a low figure, but it's not in the obesity range, which I'm thankful for at this present time :D

OK, i am new here. I'm 16 years old... maybe the youngest? i am a female. this place looks pretty supportive and just seems like a good hang-out. so here's the deal. like i said, i am 16. one year ago i realized i was... EXTREMELY fat, lol. let's see, i weighed... 245 pounds. yup, two hundred and fourty-five pounds at the age of 15. something seem just a little wrong there? well that was the heaviest i had EVER been. well not long before that, i had tried different diets. let's see... Slim Fast (eww), pills (too big!...stopped, got stomach aches) Weight Watchers (worked pretty good, i lost 20 pounds... but eventually lost motivation and gained it ALL back plus more) so then i kind of gave up. the lowest then was... 206. something, but like i said i gained all of that back up to 245. soo then when i realized i HAD to do something... well i did! i went on a diet/program and.... well let's just say i now weigh 179! (lol well i did weigh 176 last week but then i went camping and just got my .(time of the month)hehe)so yeah i gained like 6 pounds over the weekend, tehehe. so i'm going to weigh in today, hopefully I'll be at like 177 or something... i'm about to hit my 70 pound goal... i think i am at like 66 pounds now. so my initial weight was 245, my current weight is 179 (from two days ago anyways :D ), my current goal is just to hit the 160's, and my overall goal is 140. i have like 35 more pounds to go! yay!!

lolz~ you're not the youngest~ I'm 15~ turning 16 this month~ I've been fat all my life with my highest weight at around 260-something~ so we have some in common~ =P

I have 25 more pounds to loose and I'll be at my goal weight~ but lemme tell you~ it took ALOT to get me just where I am now~ =.=

I'm 16 as well :p Don't worry, at least you HAVE lost weight before, I haven't lost any heh. Mine just stays at one level and won't go down, the only thing I can do is make sure it doesn't go up.
 
I think we have a 14 yr old running around somewhere aswell.

I'm 21, female, and from Canada. I have been meaning to lose weight for years. Every summer I swear to myself that this is the year...but well...it hasn't happened so far. I'm not depressed about it, but sometimes its just so frustrating! Even the small things...like going shopping with my best friend, who is my same height, but a size zero. I just feel...I don't know...fat and ugly.

Anyways, this Christmas my parents said they are taking me on a Caribbean cruise as my gift (AWESOME!!)...but I want to wear a bathing suit and NOT feel self-conscious for once in my life!!

Ok...so Current Weight=about 220, Overall Goal=maybe 120-130? I'm not sure what's good, I'm 5'5".

I don't know how to start! I want to go jogging, cause I live next to a beautiful bike path along a waterway...but I'm so self-conscious about running alongside all those nice fit people out there. :S Any one else ever feel this way? It's been stopping me from getting out there...
