i want to start a club for people 21 and under who are overweight. so if you want to join my club...post below and leave your starting weight, current weight, current goal and over all goal...also tell about yourself and where you are from... we can all support each other. you can also leave a before picture of you... ANYONE can leave tips... we will take all the help we can get...

I am a 19 year old female from canada. when i started to diet, i weighed 201 pounds... i am currently 194 pounds and my current goal is 185 pounds. my over all goal is to weigh 140 pounds by my birthday at the end of september.

both pics of me were taken yesterday, saturday january 21st 2006

i look really bad in them but they work... lol i will have new ones on here in not too long... as soon as i lose 5 pounds....
 
202.8 hi my names is meagan and i'm an 18 year old, also canadian girl. when i started i weighed 222lbs and now i weigh 202.8 my current goal is to just get under 200 meaning like 199.9 will do :) i don't really have an overall goal because i've been overweight so long i'm not sure what my body type is so i'm not sure what's realistic. although for my hight i've read 115-125 is good. and i hope to lose all, if not most of it by my birthday in november

well what is your hight and weight... i will find out for you... i will also try to find out your bone structure for you.. but i have to find out wether or not you need it measured in cm or inches... so measure your wrist in both cm and inches for me and i can find out for you,,,

what province in canada are you from? im from ontario...oh i see that you are from ajax ontario,,, thats cool, im from aylmer ontario

also, what type of diet are you on?
i am just basically trying to eat less and better, 3 meals a day n 2 snacks all healthy...

I'm under 21 too :)

I played football for 4 years or so, and started out rather normal. Due to my strenght and lack of speed, they fed me untill I was a lineman. At the top of my football "career" I was 130 kilos, or 286 pounds. I then quit football, and started loosing weight. I was down to 93 kilos (204.6lbs) a few days ago, but my goal per now is to add a few kilos of muscle rather then just loose weight so I've increased my eating and I'm not really sure what weight I am right now (can't change THAT much over a few days, can it?)

Btw, I'm a guy :)

I am from Norway, and I'm kinda shy about posting a pic on an open forum or else I'd do so. If any of you feel the need to see what I look like these days, send me a PM :)

So, anyways, this might sound like a really dumb idea but considering I started loosing weight about half a year ago and since then I haven't eaten loads at all, and I have not eaten candy, fast-food, drinken soda etc, I'm now eating much more and I do assume I'll gain some weight that might not be muscle. But, I need a few weeks of not going hungry... Then I will get back to the loosing weight modus. I don't plan on pigging out or anything, and I'm not going to gain 20 pounds, but I'm just eating more. Still no candy or soda though.
 
well , if you are just taking a break from dieting, i dont think that is a good idea, because it isnt about just dieting, it is about changing your eating habits and your life. i dont understand why you are going to try to gain weight... i dont understand what you are saying lol sorry... but that is good you arent going to eat candy or soda, but does this mean you are going to be eating fast food? lol please explain i am confused lol

as for my diet, i'm doing jenny craig for the eating part and i'm trying to excercise more and drink more water
lol i've never heard of aylmer is it a small town or farther north or something?
 
No fastfood either, no. :) Honestly, I don't like it. Too greasy, and you never know how they prepared it. Half of the McDonalds in this country has illigaly low standards of hygiene.. not very motivating to eat it then.

Don't know how to put it, but the 37 kilos I lost weren't all fat. I'd like to regain what wasn't fat, but if I continue eating like I did there's no chance of ever doing that. 81 pounds in half a year means I've lost about 3.34 pounds a week. I don't have a diet that I follow, I don't count calories or anything, I just move around a bit and used to eat very little. If I ever hope to get in some form of shape (and not just get rid of some blubber) then I think I better eat more then what I used to.

I know I'm not making a whole lot of sense :cool:

Cubi ~> ha i work at mcdonalds lol... and it is actually not bad for hygeine, but i live in a small town it is probably different in the city.not that im defending fast food lol....well if you eat more , thats ok, just eat more of fresh fruits and veggies... they do fill you up... and they are low cal so you dont have to worry so much... ha and no i am not going to work at mcdonalds forever lol im going to be going to school for cosmetology as soon as i get a car in may and my insurance paid off... lol cant wait for that :p


Redwillowme~> you have a medium bone structure like me, my wrist is 6.5 inches...and i have a medium bone structure.
your ideal weight for your weight/ hieght is 120 pounds. it would be less if you were small boned, and more if you were big boned.... and the highest before being overweight is 128 pounds... so i would shoot for 120 - 125


as for me... ha i messed up today, i ate food while i was at work i regret it now.... lol i at a big mac, then i ate an apple pie and cheese burger...no fries though, i was smart on that end lol... that was a mistake but i am not going to give up just because i slipped, i am going to eat as little calories for the rest of the day.and i am going to have a good supper full of fruits and veggies...i am disapointed in myself, but that just gives me more motivation to get back on track, and i think i might go for a bike ride today since its nice out, to burn off some of those extra cals...or maybe a long walk...:)

What I consider city, you may consider small town... A population of 260,000 maybe? Hardly big compared to a big Canadian city...

Glad to hear you're not flipping burgers for the rest of your life. Don't have a problem with burgerflippers or anything; I mean, if it's your "call" then it's admirable that you do what you want to, but at 19 I'd say it's pretty sad to embarc on life with no bigger prospects then...well... flipping burgers :eek:

Heh, I have the feeling I tried to pull on too many big fancy words :p Mind, English is not my first nor 2nd language, it's a completely foreign one ;)

Personally, I find one of the biggest mistakes I sometimes make, and one that I fear many make, is that when the weather is bad we stay inside. Here's a Norwegian saying for you "there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing" (rimes in Norwegian ;)). Thankfully I like bad weather, yet when it's 3 feet of water in the streets even I stay inside. I shouldn't! I should use the oppertunity to go swimming!
Might sound like a pathetic looser now, but I find rain rather romantic :p I also greatly enjoy walking, just never took the time to do so before (figured I would have to be pathetic to go for a lonely walk in the rain, but I don't care anymore... I like it :)).

Hi :)

I'm 17 (18 this summer) and I'm 5'9" with a medium bone structure.

I did really crapy today, too. Mom brought home some MacDonald's for lunch...bleh. At least she didn't bring home any soda...dang I want some, though. I need caffiene! I may have to go see if we have any teeeea.

Anyways...off to do some dance (I do belly dancing...) and some weight lifting. Yay. At least I don't need the treadmill, anymore. *glowers at it*
 
Cubi~>no my small town consists of 14,000 people...and i mean its easier to keep things clean and hygenic because we arent hectically busy all day, because our town has such a small population,and did YOU personally get 5 pubic hairs on your burger? bc if so someone must just not like you too much...but if it wasnt personally you, then it is probably just a rumour... ha ha and i dont flip the burgers lol , i refuse to, i work strictly with the cash up front at the counter... and at the drive through cash window. i did work in the kitchen at one time though. hated it i must say... working there is only to get extra money for car insurance. you dont know how difficult it is too find a job in a small town like mine, everyone is on welfare... milking the government for there money...here we have strict security, cameras at all corners of the restaurant. so if someone was to do something nasty to the food, the tapes would be reveiwed and there placement would be terminated... it has happened before once...

cmsstewart~> just curious, how much you weigh... thats cool that you do belly dancing... yeah treadmills suck, i want an eliptical lol they are kinda fun and they are a good work out...
 
EVERYONE ... i think that we should set a goal... we should all try to lose 7 - 10 pounds or more by february 27th....every sunday we should weigh in and post what we have lost or gained, or stayed the same...this may make it easier for us to lose weight...because it will sort of remind us that we are on a diet and to try hard to not screw up...

if you think this is a good plan or have any other ideas to help us along this long road ahead, post any further info or ideas

I think it's a good idea.

I've never picked a pubic hair out of my mouth as far as I know. I read it amongst other uninteresting facts, such as you can't lick your elbow (and that 75% or so try licking their elbow after reading that...I did :eek: )and somesuch...

14,000 I'd still consider a city. Not a big one, but it's a city. Yet, you call it a small town :p I'd say any job is better then no job. If you have the choice that is...
 
I weight 195. I carry my weight well so that I don't LOOK that much, but I am. Grar. Yeah, I love belly dancing. It's very easy on my hips and on my back, but strengthening at the same time. Undulations are incredible for the abs, too, sheesh!

I live in a small 'city.' I still consider it a town, though...I don't think we have 14,000 people...more like 10,000, maybe. I dunno, I havn't looked at the poplation sign. I don't even think we have one. One of our Pizza shops was absolutely nasty...people sitting on the counters where they made the pizzas...and a lot of NASTY stuff. Gah!

That's a good idea, but I personally think that we should set a collective goal. Like 20 pounds. If I loose some, someone else looses some, another person looses some, yada yada, add it all up and hopefully we'll get 20 pounds. That's what they did (do...dunno anymore) with the ten pound club teams. We'd set a collective goal as well as an individual goal, so we have the mindset that 'If I don't loose this much, then I'll fail everyone else.'
 
lol yeah i've heard from friends that McDonalds is alright sanitary-wise and i've also heard that McDonalds on one's resume is definatly smiled upon, it's wendy's i've heard bad rumors about. and it's true about the diffrence between small town fast food plases as opposed to big city fast food places.
i went on a road tirp with my friend last summer and we stoped at a really small town McDonalds the guy who worked there actually carried one lady's tray to her table cause her arms were kinda full and they high fived eachother after they had like five customers in a row lol i could hardly beleive it!
as fot the weigh in thing it sounds good to me but to we all have to weight in on that day? cause i weigh in on wensdays cause i don't actually have a scale at home....but if it's eayser for everyone i could get it on wensday and just hold off reporting it till sunday? ya that would work :D
 
ok i bought a digital scale....

ok i went and bought a digital scale, my old one it showed a different reading everytime i steped on it...i felt like i was going to throw up when i seen how much i weighed.... i weigh 210 pounds... 15 pounds more then i thought,,, so now i have another 15 pounds to lose... i feel like crying. thats cool if cubi is old... he can leave lol bc thats weird... lying ... but ok...

Redwillowme.. that is fine about the wednesday thing and holding off reporting it until sunday...

omg i am so depressed...my stomache is turning at the thought that i am back over 200 pounds, when i was on herbal magic i went from 201 to 185 , and now i am at my highest weight ever...so i might as well post this picture now of me at my HIGHEST WEIGHT 210 pounds :(
