A bundle of questions in one ^_^

First time poster here. And I have a whale of questions to lay on all you guys..Any feedback/comments are appreciated.

Ok...I'll start it off like this...I'm 21 years old atm. Back in high school I was around the height of 5'9 and weighed 155 pounds. I was rather athletic playing basketball EVERY DAY during lunch for an hour straight. I ate whatever I wanted which included fast food EVERYDAY almost and I mean everyday...some times multiple. But I was so athletic with basketball it never really messed with me. After high school I stopped and for 2 years straight playing a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game). Basically one of those games that people lose their lives over. Thank god for my future orientated mind I quit that god forsaken game (while making 600 bucks selling my account in the process ^_^). During that time I ate lots of fastfood and did nothing but sit at a computer all day...Lost touch with all my friends because of it and god was that painful. During this time I went from 155 to 170 (amazing..only 15 pounds over 2 years..LOL)..I quit playing the game back during June....it's been 6 months since that time and I swore to myself to get back in shape...Well..I have...I weighed 155 to 170...now I'm down to 145 (with basketball shorts and a white undershirt)...Now here's my ACTUAL question....I was 5'9 back during HS...and yes I did eat all sorts of bad food but now I'm 5'11 and I weigh 145?...also I'm not a very strong person to begin with...I'm MUCH more formed then I use to be...much stronger...back during highschool curling 15-20 pound dumbells was my area of working out...now I'm curling 30-35's...doing 10 reps with 6-10 sets depending on the days...I have MORE muscle then I use too and I'm lighter?..and taller?..I've been doing cardio and splitting my meals into 5 for each day...no diet pills or anything just long hard work....at one point I weighed 140 which was 1-2 months ago...which is part of the problem...I want a 6 pack...compared to how I looked during highschool (my face mostly clinged to my bone structure...very smooth look)...Now I have what my friend and I call the "Fat Face"...lol...Although I've lost most of it since I started working out...I still have a chubbier face then I use too and I weigh less...What can I do too lessen this?...I also have a small double chin which I didn't use to have when I was weighing 155. The biggest problem of all is a 6 pack...I got down to 140 and I still couldn't get it...I've heard MANY things about getting a 6 pack...one which I believe is that sit ups won't do anything...everyone can have strong abs but unless you get rid of the fat ontop you won't be able to see it. Diet and excersize is the only way to achieve a 6 pack since you have to lower your body fat....I weigh 145 yet I still have a stomach!..it doesn't make sense!..it's not a big stomach but it's still there...I've tried so hard to get a washboard stomach atleast...at a side angle you can see the hump on my stomach...My lower abs have that V shape that leads down to the private region...I have it and it's formed very well...but I can't get rid of this damn mini beer belly and I already dropped down to 140 pounds...Is there anyway I can obtain a 6 pack?..it's driving me bonkers.

ok I know that was too much information to process...sorry to slap such a big one on everyone...I'll sum up the questions I asked in that rant so it's easier for everyone..

I weigh less then I use too...I'm taller..stronger...and yet I still have a stomach?...what can I do?

How can I lose fat in the areas I really want to tone myself down in?...like how I use to be..mostly in the facial/neck region as well as my love handles..

I guess that's all I can think of atm...a few details about my workout..I workout every other day or every 3 days...I do cardio before I start my workout. I work my chest, triceps, biceps, deltoids, stomach, shoulders, and some of my back. I'm not very active atm when I'm not working out which I know is a problem..gotta keep active as much as possible..even walking would help...I eat a LOT healthier then I use too....I still from time to time indulge but I went on a spree of eating nothing but healthy foods..Chicken breast, egg whites (hard boiled), steamed vegetables, steak for protein (not often)...and since you need SOME carbs I ate some rice 2-3 times a week (Although not a lot)..lots of fruits as well...apples and banana's mostly with strawberries too. stayed away from bread and patatoes as well....and with this I Dropped down to 140 and still no 6 pack....I'm doomed?...

ok..I'll stop typing now..ranting again..lol..but that's basicly what I do...

BTW...any suggested excersizes would be great...I have Bowflex Selectech Dumbells (greatest invention ever) and that's all I use to work out...so if anyone has some GREAT free weight excersizes that'd be great...Hopefully I'll become a regular here since theres such a nice community ^_^...looking forward to getting to know you all.

wow, take a deep breath. now i am not really sure what the heck is going on here so maybe you could simplify things. in a short answer- what do you do on a reg basis right now, forget high school you aren't there any more and your body changes as you age so just forget it. what are your eating habits like now?? then we can help
 
ok...Well...Let's see. ATM I'll occasionally eat fastfood but probably one or two times a week if at all. I'm persian so I eat home cooked meals which are not at all unhealthy. Rice, Cucumber Salad, kabobs (so many different kinds but no one would know WTH I'm talking about..lol) cashews, fruits, veggies, chicken breast (only type of chicken I like), hawaiian rolls as well (hawaiian sweet bread so good!)...But I've been eating more rice and hawaiian rolls since I couldn't get a six pack weighing in at 140. But overall I avoid extremely bad stuff. I eat healthy in moderation but MUCH healthier then I use too...5 meals a day...no munching all day...try to eat every 3 hours. On a reg basis nothing...literally nothing which I think is the problem...Going to start up basketball again so I can play every day or every other day. I took the swimming pool we use to have at our old house for granted...if I had it now I'd be swimming every morning. Personally I think I answered my own question when I said I do nothing..lol..cause I literally do nothing...when I'm not doing cardio it's getting up to get one of my 5 meals, go to the bathroom since I drink a lot of water now (BTW drink nothing but water and REAL juices...no sugar added crap), get the door/phone, grab my guitar to play. lol....I know I answered my question right there...but it's rather difficult since I hardly have access to my car atm...but personally I think if I just get up and go out and do stuff I'd get that 6 pack in no time...but since I lost contact with most of my friends over those 2 years I gotta get out and make new ones as well since I want to get up and do something everyday.

okk you are right get up and move your body don't sit around and sulk, get confident and you will find yourself surrounded by ppl that want to be around you and be active with you. the car thing is no excuse, i do not have one and i have two kids and a dog. i go to school, so i walk every where , and i do mean every where, i do weight training too muscle burns more energy, so that may help too. put down the guitar for a bit and get out there and move. if you need some modivation just post and we'll try to get ya going. so GO NOW....:)
 
I'm loving this forum already ^_^...I'll admit I am insecure even though I shouldn't be. I've gotten so many compliments about how I look but I'm just naturally a insecure person. But overall I am a blast to hang around ^_^...have a very positive energy/aura...but yea...I gotta get off this damn computer and back out in the real world...Gotta start up on my acting classes again also....

To tell you the truth I don't know why I even posted on the forum since I knew the reason why I can't lose this lil' fat left over...but I'm glad I did since the community here looks very supportive and darn cool ^_^.....lol..I'm going to go to bed now..yes...7:21 am and I'm going to bed...curse this computer...gotta fix my sleeping schedule and get a job...I'll post in the morning (my morning...4 pm...)....nite nite ^_^
 
good night. get yourself some good sleep and turn that sleeping shcedule around and get out in the sunshine. it'll improve your out look on things, and get you ready to move.
 
Ok here we go........... up your cadio! No way has anyone ever spot reduced fat. So the only way you will get your six pack is by doing lotsa cardio even more than now. Keep doing your dumbells but do lots of cardio. I can really comment on your diet cos i dont know what the hell you are talking about !!!!!......lol. But at least your keen to make a start let us know how it goes.
 
lol...thx for the comments guys. Going to start playing basketball everyday again..That should get me going. I have to admit though working out feels amazing...I've been doing it straight for 6 months now and I'm never going back on it. It just feels too good ^_^...I'll keep you guys posted...=D
