A bit confused : 4/5 meals vs. 3

From what I know/have read on this forum..

If you have three low calorie meals (say.. 300 each?) one in the morning, one in the afternoon, one in the evening.. your metabolism is gonna be running but not very fast.

If you have 4-6 meals through-out the day, your metabolism will be right up and hot all day long.

Plus you'll be pretty much full all day and won't feel weak. You'll have a lot of energy.

I'd say go for 4-6 meals per day. Either divide your number of daily calories by 6 and have that amount per meal (give or take a few.. just add/subtract the rest from your other meals), and you'll be burning fat all day long.
 
yeah, 3 low calorie meals you dont feel full, maybe right after...but then youll get hungry sooner and I believe(correct me if Im wrong) that if your body gets hungry often, it thinks that it is starving, so it holds onto the fat, its better to put something in your stomach, I eat...I eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner...and I seem to feel full pretty much throughout the day, so I dont want to eat the wrong stuff.
 
^ thats a good way of doing it.

Breakfast, snack, Lunch, snack, Dinner, and if you're hungry after dinner, have a little healthy snack, but make sure you have it at least two hours before bed.
 
I have actually tried today the first time ..

I ate now four times (10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm) and had after the last meal only fruit tea etc.

I must say : wow - I was never hungry, was feeling good all day ...

Obviously I did not eat pizza etc. :p I had just very small portions with e.g. salad, flame grilled chicken without anything etc. ... total calories were about 1000 ... which might be a bit low even .. but to sum things up : I can really vouch for that .. :D
 
The main reason for 6 equalmeals is to be sure one does not overeat and never allow the body to become hungry. However, the whole increase in Matobolism thing is negligible. eating 3 meals a day with small sized healthy snacks inbetween Is just as fine as 6equal meals.

Two itendical people, two identical routines/diets(down to the last calorie) only one is eating 3meals a day with "Snacks" and the other is eating 6 equal meals a day. They will both loose weight at the same time, so long as the calories in/out throughout the day are the same.
