60kg Weight Loss Goal

Well I'm 5 weeks into my new lifestyle change of exercise and calorie control.

I'm find myself feeling a little disappointed in my loss.

I started at 142.6kg that was Christmas Eve, on the 1st of. February I weighed 133kg. It's a loss of ~22lbs which I think is ok, but not in comparison to others I've read about.

I go to the gym 6 days a week and do weight training and cardio every time I'm there. My routine is 15km cycle at good pace and resistance. My weight training doing major muscle groups in 3 sets of 12 with highest weight I can do on shoulders, back, legs, arms and chest. My calorie intake is no more than 1650 per day which to me works out a 10,000 calorie deficit per week, not taking into account cardio.

I suppose my mind is wondering, am I losing what I should be?

Thanks

Why not join San's new challenge... The link is in my signature.

It might help you stay on track and to make friends... Your weight loss doesnt sound bad to me. When I was big I used to lose about a stone a week.

BTW - if you are convinced that you should be losing more - sometimes it can be easy to think that we are eating less calories than we are... one thread well worth seeing is this one:
