50 Down, 30 To Go...

Hello!

Im brand spankin new! I really hope this site helps!

I started my dieting in september of 2007 after my heart doctors told me it was ok to exercise again. I lost 20 by October, and 40 by Christmas. Since starting Ive lost just over 50 pounds but my goal is to loose 30 more.

This fall I invested in a Pro-form Eliptical Machine and I did an hour a day of running/jogging and some cross training with 5-10 pound weights.
I take in 1,200 cals, 100g of protein (at least), less than 30 g of fat, and 25 g of fiber. Plus I take my multi, vitamin C, B-6, B-12, and Calcium.

Ive been so busy lately I slipped out of my routine, so recently I havent been losing anymore...but, the good news is I havent been gaining it back either.

Im just hoping for motivation. I do believe Ive created a diet that works (well atleast for me), but I need support to keep it up!

Welcome! Congrats on the weight loss. What are your current stats? Unless you are very small, 1200 calories might be a bit on the low side.
 
I was 230, now 180 and want to get to 150.
I started at 205 and I'm currently 157 (goal 155) and I've been consuming about 1800 calories and losing about 6 pounds per month....so I do think you're a bit low.

Someone smarter than me can direct you on how to figure out your basic metabolic rate....that's what you need to start with to figure out how many calores per day you need.
