5 pounds?!

I started working out again yesterday. My starting weight was a shoking 246 lbs when I weighed myself at the gym. Today I couldn't help but see what my weight was. It was 241 lbs!!! :eek: I was not wearing anything different, and it was a digital scale so it HAD to be right.

I think I lost so much weight the first day because I cut out all pop (except diet becase diet Wild Cherry Pepsi is sooo good!) and have been monitoring my food intake (don't worry, I'm not starving myself ;) ). I am also REALLY out of shape, so exercising probably made a big impact on me.

It seems that I gain weight really easily but if I really work I also can loose it fast.

Now I have to go to sleep, I ach! :(
 
Was the scale at the gym the kind of scale that the doctors use--you stand on it and move the weights until the bar is smack-day in the middle?

My digital scale plays tricks on me sometimes....but I don't doubt that you've lost a bit of weight already. Initially when a person starts a diet the first thing they shed is water weight.
 
Nope, it was one where you step on it and it tells you your weight automatically. I really doubt I've lost that much weight though, so tonight when I go to the gym I'll weight myself again.
