330 Floors on the step machine! challenge

hey guys today i did a personal best on the step machine, 330 floors in 64 minutes, 1020 calories burned (rested 6 floors at level 1, and then sprinted 15 floors at the max level 20), i was out of juice by the end of it, i want to burn 1000+ calories everyday from the cardio room alone, i think steps is great if i do this kind of thing everyday, or will i have better results with other machines?
 
No idea about other machines but just wanted to say that sounds like amazing results. Well done.

Calories are calories, regarless of how you use them. If you like the step machine, it should be just as effective as any other machine. I have heard that it could be hard on your joints, specifically the knees, so I avoid it and stick to the bicycle machines for low impact, at least until I lose some weight and start running again.

One thing I will caution you against is doing too much cardio. Do you plan on doing 1000 calories on the stair stepper every day for the rest of your life? If not, once you decide you reached your goal and don't need to use the stair stepper anymore, you will have to either find away to cut those 1000 calories you would have otherwise burnt from your diet, or risk gaining weight back. I've made that mistake a few times.
