AHey all! I'm a 29 year old male that has struggled with weight most of my life. Around 3 years ago I made a significant lifestyle change and went from 295 to 219 with a very controlled healthy diet and exercise routine. I ended up being around 10lbs overweight by the end, keep in mind I am 6'4". I haven't weighed myself since last November but I was around 258 then and I'm sure I've gained at least 10 if not more since then...

My descent back into the world of obesity started when my son was born (he's just turned 2)...this significant life change had me revert back to my old habits. I'm ready for action and would like to be back to where I was by my 30th birthday (next Jan 6)....

When I worked out before I had a basic bench and a stationary bike. My fiancé and I moved into an apartment and had to get rid of my equipment. We are now homeowners with enough space so we have invested in an elliptical and a bowflex (waiting for delivery on both). I will be starting my new program when they arrive and will check back in with my current weight and goals when I am setup. I know how to lose weight, I know how to eat properly, I just need motivation and workout equipment!
The equipment is on it's way and I'm motivated to feel like I did 3 years ago! Hopefully the rest of my motivation comes from these forums! Anyways, that's my long winded introduction! I'm looking forward to getting to know these forums!

AGood luck! I know how hectic it gets with the arrival of a little one! You don't have time for anything else! All the activities evolve around the baby's schedule:) I think the biggest motivation could be your son! Because he needs an active daddy;)

Yep Qualzog! I am finding this forum as a great platform to get started..

Some people are so helpful in here. Just getting to know their xp itself is so encouraging..

Here's one small thing that I am finding quite motivating. I have kept a picture of mine (when I was slim) next to the full-length mirror in my room.

Every time I go to get ready or go in front of the mirror I can immediately see the weight I've gained and..

I am so eager to look like the way I looked in the pic.. That instantly makes me to go and do some 30 crunches..

All the best with your workout.. & Don't worry! You will surely do it...!!!!!!!!!!!!
