My name is Paul, I am new to this forum. I have attempted weightloss before but unsuccessfully. I have started consultations with a nutrionist and I start with a trainer next week. I will be posting once a week with updates on weight loss and hopefully in about 8months to 1year...i will be able to have a great before and after picture. I am so excited, oh yeah...my goal is 199, just under 200lbs. Wish me LUCK!!!!

Well, in all fairness, it was only nine minutes from one post to the next, but yeah, it does seem to move fairly quickly as people respond to new posts. Welcome to the WLF!

haha. i see i see... i visit a board that untouched threads fall off after 2 minutes of no one responding....i am completely new to the board, so i wasn't sure the speed it moves.

thanks, i am really excited...

Not much worry about that here, most times. But you have to give as well as get, especially in the diary section. I recommend creating a diary, just to help you track what you are doing to achieve your goals, but you will often find yourself on the third, or deeper, page from one visit to the next. Especially if you miss a day. :D
And there is no WAY you look 283 pounds, unless you're about 8 feet tall! If that pic is current, you are in pretty good shape for that size.

i appreciate the compliment, but I am indeed that heavy. I was weighed by the nutrionist last nights. 6'1" 283 lbs with 33% body fat. Those were the measurements. That picture was taken probably in July, I have gained maybe 10 lbs since then, but you get the picture. I use to wrestle in highschool and used to be an avid weightlifter, so i possibly have a higher muscle mass. but i do indeed need to lose tons of weight. i wear a 42inch waist and an xxl t shirt...i am vewry excited, waiting to get out of work and go workout.

p.s. that picture was me camping with some friends and my dog at the Red River Gorge in Sligo, KY. She is on my lap so it hides my gut..hahaha

I realize it is going to be a battle and that I am not always going to be able to succeed. But i think i will be able to get used to this in the next couple weeks...i plan on losing most of this weight in about 8 month or so...!!! give me some encouragement

Hi Paul

Hi Paully

Hi Paully, I'm Kelly and I'm just starting too. I'm 200 pounds, BM1 34 and counting food points ala weight watchers. Walk most days but I fear that won't be enough to budge the scales. Have excuses why I don't get back in to aerobics which I did at this weight for two years - no money for shoes, classes too early in the morning. Rollercoaster of emotions. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Kelly

kelly, hey there...congratualtions on your determination to get it going..this is going to be the hardest thing i will ever do, but i am determined to do it for sure. i am in this body mind and soul...these bodies are all we have so we must take care of them...to being thin and livng life!!!!!!

Wow, it has been awhile. I have been slacking hard. I have lost ten pounds since I started this diet thing. I am meeting with my trainer tonight. I am going to post pics when i get to a computer that I can DL my pictures onto. I need support
