252 pounds determined lady

Hello All,

I'm from Ireland and I weigh 252 pounds, about 4 years ago I weighed 147 pounds however after quitting smoking, having 2 kids and getting implanon birth control I have gained a lot of weight. Anyhow I'm determined to loose the weight, I've had the implanon removed, I've started to do weightwatchers online (with 2 kids it's hard to get to classes). The only advantage of weighing so much is that I'm allowed to consume 26 points each day so surely I should be able to stick to it.

I'm sick of my weight defining me, I want to get ahead in my career, I don't want to dread every event worrying about what I can possibly get to wear, or avoiding people I haven't seen in a while because I'm ashamed of how I look.

Today is the day I am going to change my destiny, this time next year I will be shopping for something to wear from the christmas party.

Glad to hear you are taking a stance and not letting your weight dictate your life. The next step is follow through and make sure you don't let the fat win. You control your destiny. Let's make it happen!

1. I don't know if you've used Weight Watchers before, but if you haven't, it's the absolute greatest. I'd swear by it any day of the week. It sounds a little cheesy, but it saved my life.

2. A little bit of undercover vanity never hurt anybody. I feel good about the fact that I'm getting into better shape and making healthier lifestyle choices, but I also feel great about seeing people that I haven't seen since I was heavier, and getting compliments on how great I look. I love buying cute new clothes I couldn't fit into to save my life months ago; I love feeling cute walking out the door. No shame in it!

Best of luck to you :)
