24lbs - My 11 Week Goal

Good job getting up and going at that nasty time of day lol. and i agree with risty on your early workdays going after work may just be easier. keep it up! :)

Yeah I think on days that I start super early i will go after work - when i start at 8, 9, or 10a, though - by the time I'm done work it's either 4, 5 or 6pm and the gym gets BUSY then and people piss me off...lol, so on those days I'm going to go early IF I can. But on 6:30am-7am days - I'm going to go after - and then on closing days I'll go before (around 9am).

Today was a good day at the gym. I did 30min elliptical, and then an upper body workout.

I took some progress pics today right as soon as I got home from the gym. I said I was going to post some pics a while ago - so here they are!

Now keep in mind - I JUST got home from the gym - I still have my gym clothes on, and I don't have any makeup on

It's 11:11pm - I closed at work tonight and right now there is a FREAKING blizzard happening outside - it's been snowing with 100km wind guests since 5pm. I'm sure by morning it'll be an icy mess - but snow or shine I'm getting up at 5:50am and going to the gym!

I work at 11am - so if I'm done at the gym by 7-730am then I'll have 3-4 hours to relax till work - AWESOME!

I did make it to the gym today, and it was early. I got up around 5:50am, and was @ the gym around 6:45. When I got home it was around 8am. Lots of time before work to relax! It was a good workout too. 30 min on the elliptical and the a leg workout followed by abs.

Just a little quote to keep the train chugging... (this quote along with a few others helped me through my journey...hopefully it will help you too)

"It's the little things you do that can make a big difference. What are you attempting to accomplish? What little thing can you do today that will make you more effective? You are probably only one step away from greatness."

- Bob Proctor

Keep up the good work and continue to tell us of how you're doing... If you however fall off the train - it's ok....just get back on and re-focus on the prize.

Every little step towards your goal is one step closer to success....

Thanks little-ridick - that is a good quote!

I'm just getting ready to go to the gym right now. I wanted to be AT the gym by 9am - well's it's 9:10am and I'm at home just eating some cereal and green tea before heading out. i'll be there by 9:30am - close enough I guess.

I'm back from the gym - it was a good workout - I did 20min elliptical = 220 calories burned (according to the machine), and then I did an upper body workout.

So far I'm really liking this new program I'm following - the weightlifting part only takes around 30min (as long as I only rest a MAX of 1min between reps and switch between exercises quickly without sitting around). I'm hoping that the new program is 'enough' for what i'm trying to accomplish. I think it is - it's from a reputable source and it makes sence to me.

Today was a lower body workout. I also had the day off work! Me and an old friend that works on the rigs went to the gym together - he hasn't been to the gym in FOREVER but he has a labor intense job - he was obviously able to lift more weight (he's 6'6 and 250lbs) , but my workout almost killed him..lol he's gonna be hurting tomorrow. I will be too - but not like him.

He's in town for 1.5months till he goes back to work so he's gonna workout with my finace and I whenever we go. More the Merrier! It was really good motivation having someone to workout - there was a little healthy competition (I won :).

I'm tracking what I eat again. 1700 calories/day is my goal - I'm trying to split it as 20% fat, 40% carbs and 40% protein.....that is (has always) been more difficult then I would like.

Well - it's be a slow a steady process. I kinda platued - but that's my fault - my diet has kinda gone out the window. I'll be getting it back on track soon though.

I've been exercising 5 days a week - no problems there. I'm getting stronger and keeping a book at the gym with me to track what I lift is GREAT - I get to see the increase in strength.

My weight isn't changing all that must I'm in the low 150's. I have noticed a decrease in cellulite on the back of my thighs though. By summer I just KNOW I'll be smoking hot! lol

I'm a bit bummed out though - I've been waiting for some supplements I bought off the internet and they still aren't here - it's been 11 business days and on average it takes 4-9 business days. I KNEW I should have just paid the extra for the 2-3day FEDEX delivery.

HAHA within and hour of saying I was bummed out because my order hadn't arrived - it arrived!!!!! YEEAAAH. I work 10-6pm tomorrow - kinda a weird shift (I'm not a big fan). Oh well - I don't know if I'll go to the gym though because on Saturdays the gym (my location closest to my home) is only open 8am-8pm (unless I want to go to the west Edmonton mall which is a true 24/7)

I would like to get in some cardio though.

On Sunday I colored my hair bright copper (it's like and electric orange) it looks awesome - This morning I got up @ 6am and was at the gym by 6:45am, I had a hair appointment @ 9am and got my hair cut (it's still long enough to tie up), but I got bangs now and crazy shag layers.

I'm feeling rather tired today. I actually had an hour nap @ 3:45pm today ( it was my day off), I'm actually pretty tired right now too. Alot of people at worj are sick right now, maybe I'm fighting something off.
I work at 6:30am...it's 8pm right now. I'm almost tempted to go to bed now and get up extra early and go to the gym before work....that would be a little insane though.

Hey! I'm back!

Glad to see you've been workint out consistently :) I hope I can get there and stay there like you have! Eating right consistently is so hard and I've been failing miserably with that for sure! Anyways!

Your hair colour sounds awesome! It's always great to have your hair done, makes you feel awesome! (Unless they screw up! hehe) I've had that before... :| No more bangs for me that's for sure.

Well, glad to see you've been doing well. Can't wait to hear more from ya :)

Well it's been an interesting ride - I've been working my ass off at the gym and I've gained some AMAZING strength! When I look back I am impressed at how much stronger I am. Back in January I was doing 10-12lb bicep curls. Now I do 20-30lb bicep curls with dumbbells or 50lbs with a barbell! Back in january I was lifting 12-15lbs for dumbbell bent over rows, the other day I finished 3 sets using the 50lb dumbbell! I can ACTUALLY do pushups! My lower body is amazingly stonger too! And I can feel my abs when I poke my stomach!

I just have to cut off that stubborn fat and I'll be all set!!!

I weighed myself the other day and my weighted hasn't really changed - BUT took my measurements and my waist, chest and hips are all down .5 inch each and my biceps are up .5 inch each (more muscle and less fat now on my arms). My butt and thighs look a lot better too - ALOT less annoying cellulite!

Now I just have to step it up a notch and get it together for summer. I'm close - very close - but not there yet.

Awesome job! Even if the scale isn't changing so much your measurements and physical abilities definitely tell you otherwise! Plus that cellulite comment totally gives me hope! hehe

Almost been 2 weeks since I stopped by,

I was in a TERRIBLE mood this morning - I have May long off and it just wasn't long enough and today I have to close (not to mention woman's monthly friend adding fuel to the fire). It was 8am and I was mad and had to go to the gym because I didn't go at all sat, sun or monday. I was angry about it too. So I put on my workout clothes and then randomly decided to go for a run instead. It was a GREAT idea - it wasn't to hot out yet, there was a nice breeze, the little cute birds were out, things were green and blooming, my music was blaring through my headphones, and to top it all off, over the weekend I got myself a watch for working out - (stopwatch etc.) it was cheap - but that's all I need for the gym - so I got to try it out (trying new things is always fun).

From the time I left my house to the time I arrived back it had been 27minutes (almost a 30min run like I has planned) - the best part is I RAN the whole time - no stopping to walk a block - I just kept jogging - I wasn't running fast or anything (sprint) - just a jogging pace. That's the 1st time I've ran with no walk breaks.

From what people have told me - running will make you lose weight. So I'm going to try to go for a run 2-3 times per week hope to accelerate some fat loss (I'm still going to go to the gym like regular too). This week I am cleaning up my diet too. I really fell off the diet train for a bit (it was may long!!) - but that's ok.
