Hi all, my name is Tess. I am completely new here. I am 25 and 233lbs. I have always been overweight and I have struggled with numerous diets through the years. I started weight watchers last week and I have lost my first 3lbs, I'm determined to do it this time. My goal weight is 140lbs. I am 5' 6''.
So glad this network is here, with some support it might be that bit easier..

Hi there! Welcome! Im also new here.. and weigh exactly the same as you! Im also doing weight watchers and have lost 3 lbs! Only difference is i'm 5"10/11 but we have similar stats!

Id love to know more about your plan and excersise routine etc, always nice to meet someone with similar weight to your to keep track with and support.

Good luck!

This is fantastic. At the moment I am just focusing on the food side of things. I'm making sure to drink lots of water and to eat a breakfast every morning (even though I am struggling with this). Other than that I am just changing to the low fat versions of butter, milk, breads etc... I have started walking a little but really I am going to give myself a couple of weeks to settle with a food plan. How are you finding it?

I have been doing it for a week now "properly".. i dont usually eat a lot anyway but mine is excersise.. im a lazy cow really.. but the past two weeks ive been exercising everyday for an hour on the wii fit and exercise bike.. and its really improved my fitness levels i feel like i have so much more energy, i have even been jogging yesterday and today!

The first week i had no weight loss which was depressing but this week its starting to come off.. i decided to do it by measurements as i seem to be gaining some muscle too with the amount of exercise im doing so my doc said dont worry the main thing is my resting heart rate has come WAY down and im apparantly quite healthy.

I'm doing the weight watchers online points tracker with a daily allowance of 28, but i never seem to reach the full 28, id say i usually get upto about 15, my only vice is friday night takeaways, but instead of fried rice with a chinese meal im opting for boiled rice and a vegetable based meal rather than deep fried salt and pepper balls or sweet and sour etc.

I am drinking green tea and water only too, i found it really quite difficult the first week to get my 8 glasses in but if i drink little sips often, and then once ive worked out i guzzle about 3 glasses down its alot easier now.
