1. Which is better, the one where you are seated back and your legs are in front of you, or the one where you sit upright and your feet are underneath you?

2. Why do I feel like I get a better workout on the bikes, but the calorie counter says I burn so much less than on a treadmill or elliptical?

Which ever one is more comfortable for you to use... I personally can't stand the recumbent bikes -they're even more boring than the upright becuase I find it harder to get any kind of power.. but they can be a lot more comfortable for people/

calorie counters on exercise equipment is rarely accurate... if it's raising your heart rate -that's what counts...
