2 Full Body Workouts A Week?

What if i do this fully body workout on monday and thursday? Will it help me to gain muscle size and strength? This is also assuming i'm eating right and getting enough sleep. I'm planning on doing the exercises in the order i write them also.

Squats, Calf raises, straight legged deadlifts, cable rows, lat pulldowns, standing curls with an EZ curl bar, front raises for shoulders, lateral raises, shoulder press, bent over lateral raises, bench press, bent over dips for chest, tricep pulldowns, straight dips for triceps, hanging leg raises, curls, weighted sidebends.

Any input would be great.

yes, 2 days a week can get you gains in size and strength. The increased rest intervals also afford for more intense training.

The only thing I'd be wary about is burning out your energy before you can adequately train a particular muscle group. Muscles each have their limit, but your body also has its own overall store of energy. You wouldn't want to get a good upper body workout, only to find later than you don't have it in you to work your legs and stomach.

For full body workouts, what I do is I cut all my exercises in half. I warmup, do one portion of all the exercises I plan to do (usu. takes me about 30 - 45 minutes if I'm doing good isolation), take about 10 minutes to do light cardio and drink a recovery drink (high carbs, esp. important in between a workout) then finish up the remainder of my workout.

If you're focus is more weight loss than strength building, it can be good to just try for as long a burn as possible. Except in the case of high intensity intervals, you usu. start to burn fat after your first 30 minutes of training.

When I do full body workouts I go group by group: IE Squat, bench, pullup, lunge, overhead press, row - or something like that. It prevents me from killing my energy before I can really hit a group.
