Hey y'all!

This past year has been difficult to say the least. I have overcome a lot, but I have put on weight in the process. THat's OK. I have lost weight before, so I am renewing my FAITH that I can do it again and then some.

Today I did Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Ab Assault workout. Its short and fairly easy.

I set up a new workout nook in my house. I use a yoga mat now for my workouts.

I am going hiking on Wednesday, with hand weights - 1 lb only.

I am not sleeping well! This is a problem I have struggled with all my life.

I do best and am in the best mindset when I sleep well.

I am trying to incorporate more Raw Vegetables into my diet.

Tonight I made tacos out of turnip greens (as the wrap)

with a filler of avocado, raw asparagus tips (actually very sweet),

alfalfa sprouts, and raw beets.

I am not giving up meat or hot foods, but I feel more balanced when I eat vegetables.

I am eating eggs with pepper as well.

I am drinking a lot of juice, but I try to do it in the morning, with no food, so that when I am hungry I will be able to tell and not add extra calories with too much juice.

Cheers - to a new life.

I've been afraid to touch my scale for a long time.

I moved it from the bathroom to the kitchen so it's easier to use - there's not much space in my bathroom. Why do we keep our scales in the bathroom anyway? Mine always gets diry with makeup and hair product that somehow spritzes or oozes its way around.!

Going to the gym tomorrow at 8am sharp.

I prefer the evening staff but that's okay.

I go to Curves, so the mental portion of working out is already taken care of for you-

you just do the circuit two times, stretch and go home. All the machines and stretches are

decided for you. I like this, but worry I won't lose weight quickly with it.

I will continue to do workout videos and hike as well.

Bye!

Hey Sweat4Health25,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on take the decision to lose the weight! If you're like me, you'll find alot of motivating stuff here on this forum...people who want to lose weight, just like you and me! I guess the old saying "misery loves company" is true...although, I'm feeling less and less miserable as the weight comes off (I started at 269, now somewhere around 207 (I only weigh-in 1/month, and so I'll do it again on 1 jan 2012), and on my way to 150). My next milestone is to get below 200...and one of these days, I'll be were you are starting...and I'll be within 15 pounds of my goal...so you see it's great that you're starting now!

Good luck, eat well, and I look forward to your future posts!
