Hi all!
I thought I'd finally post my success story here, because it's thanks to this site and a motivational story that I read a few months ago that got me down to where I wanted to be. I guess I'll start at the beginning and work my way forward
, but first my stats:
Age: 25
Height: 5'6
Frame: Small
SW: 153lbs
CW: 123lbs
In high school and even as a little kid I was always quite robustly built. Usually I'd attribute it to having a "large" frame (I evenutally figured out I had a small frame) and thought I would always be around 140lbs...as I went into college I put on the freshman 15lbs (or 13 in my case) and ballooned up to 153lbs...and I ended up transforming myself into a skater girl. Wearing baggy jeans wasn't agreeing with me whatsoever. I went on diet after diet: the Zone Diet, Atkins, Cabbage Soup Diet, but couldn't stick to anything and so the weight lingered.
I lost most of it over the summer by spending time chatting with people in chat forums...I got so engrossed in the conversation that I would feel too lazy to walk downstairs to grab myself something to eat...I slimmed myself back down to 145, which where I stayed give or take for the next two years.
After graduating from university, I partied the summer through which meant more of not eating because I slept all day after dancing all night (no drugs involved - just generally a very upbeat person) and when I finally stepped on the weighscale I was surprised to see that I was 135lbs. How the heck did that happen???
I started Body-for-Life as an attempt to tone up, but it really didn't work for me. Sure, I got fitter and stronger, but I wasn't decreasing in size nor was I losing any weight! Six weeks into it, I tossed it to the side and started the French Diet instead (low-GI) and slimmed myself down to 130lbs. I stayed on it for about a year, but my weigh loss stalled...I got to 129lbs and then it would sprout right up again to 130/132lbs. I joined this forum to see if I could get any inspiration from others who had lost the weight...read this story of one of the girls on here that had "lean cuisined" her way from 160lbs to 125lbs. It stayed with me at the back of mind, but at the time I was still living with my boyfriend and we were eating out all the time with his parents, so it was difficult for me to follow.
Enter boyfriend breakup and I didn't really eat much over the next two weeks, so I ended up at 128lbs and it stayed there for a while...and I actually went back up to 130lbs at one point because of all the stress. You see I had just gotten a promotion and moved countries. I was living on my own again and decided that I was going to lose the rest of the weight. I tried the French Diet again, but ended up gaining weight from it. I decided to revisit the idea of lean cuising myself to my goal weight...keeping within 1200 calories per day...8 weeks in and I'm 123lbs
. For those of you that are curious about what I eat on a day to day basis, here it is:
BREAKFAST:

1/2 cup of cereal = 100 cal
Yoghurt = 70 cal
Applesauce container: 70
TOTAL: 240

TOTAL: 400
