15 Year Old Female Need To Lose Weight Badly

Hi, I'm A 15 year-old girl, i weight 165 or maybe a little less and i'm 5"4. I want to lose like 40 pounds. Help? Any suggestions?:cry:
 
Spend time reading around the forum - focusing on the stickied threads and educate yourself on what a sensible lifetime food plan and exericse plan is.

talk to yout parents/guardians/nanny/whomver feeds you about your goals.
 
I'm in a very similar position to you.
I've been at this for a while now, and my only advice is that, you're young, make small goals, and you'll get their soon enough!
 
My advice would also be to look around the forum. But also to get some good books on the subject and read up but be careful cayuse there are a lot of rubbish diets out there and whacky ideas like if you only eat grapes for 6 months you'll lose 100pounds etc... Got your local library and see if you can get a couple of issues of womens health, its like mens health except for women obviously. Thats where I got almost all my advice on how to control my weight (out of mens health magazines and books) Let me know if you want some tips I can point you in the right direction with some basic weight loss tips. I think you should start with a sensible eating plan... and of course exercise. I know it's easier to say and harder to do.. but hey we all have got to start somewhere, right?

Lol well, I'm not sure you being 5'4 and trying to reach a goal around 120lbs is healthy. But I'm no doctor. I'd say actually try and talk to a doctor so he/she can tell
you if that would be healthy. Anyways go for a smaller goal. Like loose 1-2lbs a week.( which is a healthy loss in that time)Just keep doing that and soon you'll be
where you want to be. Or you can even try for my goal which is loose around 7 or 6 lbs until june( but ofcourse your's would be earlier cause you weight less)
 
Okay well being 15 you must be careful when llosing weight, because you are growing as i know many poeple have probably told you. This is an important time to eat atleast what you need for maintenance, but may i suggest if you want to tone up a little add some exercise. Join a gym, do some light weights that will really help you get toned up.

WHo knows maybe in a little time youll have guys turning heads at your new looks!
