So I started a new low-calorie diet... similar to South Beach (from what I've heard). Plenty of lean protein, some fruits and veggies, NO sugar or grains, and all low fat foods. It's NOT as hard as it sounds, but sometimes it gets boring!
My jeans are definitely looser (like they're always falling down... kind of annoying but encouraging at the same time) and my waist is looking smaller!
I started on 4/25/09 and have lost 14.1 lbs as of 5/22/09. My start weight was 176.4 and now I'm 162.3! (I'm 5 feet and 19 years old, btw.) I want to be 108 lbs by the end of October 2009... My doctor informed me this could be possible with hard work (i.e. sticking to the diet and working out for 30 minutes 3+ times a week).
The only thing I'm worried about is that I really like sweets... Like muffins! This is my weakness... But I think I can do it! Even if it takes a little longer than I want it to, I'm excited about the progress so far!
