133 and don't need to lose weight? I beg to differ!

I know exactly how you all feel. If I told any of my family or friends I wanted to loose just a few pounds they would probably tell me I'm being stupid. Mainly because my family and some of my friends are quite a bit heavier than me so I don't think they understand quite as much. I also feel that people who only have a little bit to loose or are told they don't need to loose weight based on how much they weigh are looked down on a tiny bit. I understand there are people who have a lot of weight too loose but weight loss is hard regardless of your size (sorry about that little rant and it wasn't directed at anyone on this forum just people in general :))
When I was 15 I was 169 and about 5'4 and got down to 125 in about 5 months just by being really good with my food then my mum told me not to loose anymore weight!
I think I might have gone up and down between 125 and 140 in the past few years but nothing drastic and haven't really tried loosing again till recently.
Once I'm at 115 I'm pretty sure I'll feel fine, I'm quite confident in my body at the moment but have a tiny pouch at the bottom of my stomach that I would like to be flat :) and it's almost gone now! I tried toning up this area a while ago but because the muscle was getting bigger underneath it was making my stomach look bigger! So once I get rid of this I can get back to toning :)

I weighed myself yesterday, and over the past week and a half, I have lost 1.4 lbs. I am not in a rush, and I only have 8.6 lbs to go.. soo as long as I am losing I am happy!

I am feeling you, I am 28 years old 5ft 3 and weigh 133.6. I am always hearing my husband say "you don't have any weight to loose", sweet but not true. No I am not huge and for people that are bigger and struggle they think it is a slap in the face for someone of my statur to say I would like to loose a few pounds but it's true. Some of it is I need to be more toned. Three years ago I lost aprox 30lbs with Weight Watchers and alot of walking and got down to 120lbs. My 120 lbs put me in a size 4, when I was in high school at 120lbs I was a size 7/8 so I was doing somthing right. At some point I was comfortable and gave myself the right to eat things I shouldn't or maybe it's more about portions. Over the course of three years I have gained 13 lbs. I can't seem to stay on the right track, I will for a week or so and then of the wagon I go. I know how to loose weight and do it healthy, I just don't get why I don't do it. It is a choice and for some reason I am just not following through. It's refreshing to hear others have the same issue. I so can relate with people struggling, I just want to loose 15lbs so people who have 30,50,or 100lbs, I do get it.

Ok so recap, eating 1100-1300 is WAAAAY UNDER FOR ME. I've been eating at about 1400-1650, with a few lower & a few higher, since hitting a plateau @ 136 lbs for 3 weeks! I've been recently dropping again! Plus I've added a afternoon power walk, & another 30-60min run in my days end! WOOT!

I seriously EAT A LOT. I cannot stress this enough, & funny how if I have a junk food binge fest I really drop a few days later:willy_nilly: I am drinking about 2.5 - 3.5 Liters of water per day & my BM's are also often!

I have a rest day/no exercise day now too. Which I switch around a bit. I also have a sugar day. :p:hurray:

My waist just two weeks ago was 26.75". It is now about 24.5-25.5. I have a waist goal of 23". I have also been seeing a bit of a 6 pack struggling to get through my fatty fat. I will keep this up!

Until next time, I hope everyone is well!

If you want to lose weight under 130 pounds what amount of calories should you take every day and how many days during the week do you go to the gym? I wonder because i feel it's really hard to lose any weight under 130 pounds and keep it off for long time.

It is not the calorie intake that everyone needs to get under 130lbs, it is about individual calorie needs, all depending on how much YOU weigh.

I just typed it all out, and lost it, so short version

This is depending on how sendentary your life s, or if you just would like to mix it up take your weight, x by 14, 15, or 16 these are the cals you need to maintain, take 20-30% off these are the cals you need to lose weight, going too low will put you in *starvation mode*

Plus it is not just about being in that calorie range, it also depends on the foods you're continually getting into your system, the nutritional value, if you still eat a lot of junk, it will be quite difficult to lose those last few pounds.

Thanks to Steve (mod) Read some of his stickies throughout the forum. :)

Ok, but i think you should take food with less calories in order to keep your weight under 130 pounds. I think it's difficult to maintain weight under 130 pounds if you take calories near 2000 every day. Or you should go to the gym every day.

I know it's hard to understand at first, but that doesn't make any sense at all.

You need to eat depending on how much you weigh, not by which ever joe blow is eating, because Joe Blow could weigh much less than you.

I am guessing that by what you're stating at 2000 calories, that you weigh more right now. Every time you drop weight, you eat within a new calorie range. It becomes lower too.

You can go right ahead and eat less if you want to, but in the long run it IS unhealthy, and when you get into starvation mode, your body stores fat, and it's tougher to get rid of, and when you do finally start to eat more, because you will, You'll gain, *snap* just like that.

I am not telling you what to do, but I am also trying to answer this same question for other's that might come on here and think it's all tickety boo that eating 2000 cals won't get them to their desired weight. That is just simply not true.

& besides that, maybe depending on a person's body mass, structure, height, frame, sex, ect being under 130 is not attainable. By Healthy means.
