10st 5 but still feel flabby.

Hey guys,

I'm 150lbs and 5ft 9.

I recently achieved my goal of losing a stone in weight and I've started to work out regularly, I just wanted to let you guys see my pic and tell me if I should continue cutting or start doing heavy weights to build. I'm also hitting my head against a brick wall about getting rid of my chest fat so I'm worried about building muscle n making the boobs worse!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Sorry I don't have a before pic but I used to be 170/180lbs. My regime is 3 days a week cardio like - 20 mins cross trainer, 20 mins rowing machine and 20 on the treadmill. The other 2 days midweek I do light weights lots of reps - chest flys, squats, pushups.

My diet usually consists of - poached egg n toast in the morning. Banana n baked beans for lunch n for dinner some pork with steamed cabbage. I drink only light fresh fruit juice. It's mostly following the same pattern with substitutes.

Thanks!

First, congrats on the weight loss. Are you continuing to lose weight or has it plateaued?

You are like a lot of people in that you have little muscle (your non-fat weight is less than 130#) and a little too much fat to be comfortable.

First, I would shelve the light weight / high rep system and go with higher weights and 6 - 8 reps. Take a look at "The New Rules of Lifting" or any other established lifting program. There are also some stickies here that can help.

Also, 20 min / day, 3x/week is the minimum recommended for a healthy heart. I would go longer and/or go with more intensity.
