i've been doing the same exact fitness routine for a while now...any ideas for new more exciting routine or just fun exercise to do at home or park? :)

Death by Bodyweight
30 Days Without Weights (parts 1-3)
Homegrown Muscle (on Men's Health)
Turbulence Training

All can be done at home.

If you're looking for something to do in a park, you can do use the bars to do pullups, chin ups, dips, and hanging knee/leg raises. Also, use benches to do step-ups. Obviously you can do planks, pushups, prisoner squats, and lunges with no equipment. Another alternative leg exercise would be a bulgarian split squat, which could also be done using the bench.

That said, what are your goals? You should consider adapting a weight training routine rather than just running and body weight exercises.

As Ride On said.....It would be very benefitial for you to begind a Full Body weight training routine, combined with various cardio activities!

I'd suggest getting together a full body workout routine. You can google "exercise without equipment" and get some great exercises you can do at home.

Together with your cardio and a good diet you'll be headed in the right direction! :)

thank u evryone..am not sure where to start with full body weight training coz i never really concentrate on weight training but at least i got cardio covered!! :D :)

thank u...n i dont really have a goal..just want to be more toner..maybe improve my fitness levels..:)

That is a goal, sort of, but set a concrete one.

If you want BW routines, I listed a bunch already. However, if you're gonna use weights (and I suggest that you do), check out the weight training stickies.

Hi Pink, if it's ideas and a varied programme you're looking for you could try an online personal trainer. I went looking for one because I found myself in a similar situation - had finally gathered the will to train, then after exhausting the few cardio etc (which everyone knows) I realised I didn't know what to do next.
You'll come across many sites calling themselves 'online personal training' when you start your search, and they vary in sophistication. Most of them are individual trainers giving an email service, but I settled on one based in the UK called PocketPT... they give you a fully personalised programme based on your current physical condition and goals, and then your programme advances with you every few weeks. They can also assign you to a real Personal Trainer on the site if you want. All the exercises on your programme card have detailed videos to back them up. I should be charging them for this lol but yes, I was quite impressed with the way they had tried to reproduce the PT 'experience'. 3 months in and I am finding it useful. I should mention it does cost but nothing compared to face-to-face PT sessions... Equivalent to $20/month I think.

Crossfit has a large resource of bodyweight routines. It is high intensity training, similar to circuits in many ways, and will definitely challenge you.

Even just picking up a couple pairs of light dumbells off of craigslist or something would be a good way to go as well. Adding just a little bit of weight can totally change the outcome of your workout.

Fitness Mats

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and a good health shows us the absence of disease or infirmity. In more recent years, this statement has been improved to include the ability to lead a "socially and economically productive life". This definition is not without criticism mainly that it is too broad. Some thinks that health cannot be defined as a state at all, but must be seen as a process of continuous adjustment to the changing demands of living and of the changing meanings we give to life. 70-95% of people are classified as unhealthy.

for fun exercise i put on some uptempo 120-160 bpm music and juggle 3 or 4 balls. four definitely counts as a cardio phase, or high catches with 3 also does the trick.

:)
